FOX, AMERICAN IDOL and the Charity Projects Entertainment Fund have partnered on an historic TV event - IDOL GIVES BACK - a two-night special raising awareness and funds for organizations that provide relief programs to help children and young people in extreme poverty in the U.S. and Africa.
For every vote cast on April 24th, AMERICAN IDOL sponsors will donate money to the charity. Learn more.

I love American Idol. Sure, there are plenty of young singers whose voices we groan at (hey, they make me realize that I can carry a pretty good tune!) But there are some who really stand out. They are awesome. Truly inspirational. They are talented and have a dream, and they're bound and determined to make their dream a reality. I love watching American Idol but my idols are not these wannabe stars. My idols are the kids I teach on Sunday mornings. Many are talented. Some just have a great spirit that shines as bright as another's beautiful voice. I learn from them a whole lot more than they learn from me. And I love to see the smiles on their faces. They make my day.Every child deserves to have a smile on their face. And Save the Children is an organization that deserves your support. Help them by spreading the word to vote on American Idol on April 24th and 25th to help provide relief programs for children and young people living in extreme poverty in America and Africa!
