Saving Energy and Money
Have you ever wondered how you can help save this world and make it a better place? Do you know what you can do to help preserve the environment? I decided to put together a list of idea's that will help you save money and recycle perfectly great items!
Since I have been a kid I have been hitting the junk stores for great bargains. You never know what you will find and you might even find something worth a bunch of money! I have a thrift store routine that I follow every time I walk in the store. I first go to the electronics and cruise around looking for a hot deal. I have run across old recorders and projectors that have sold well on ebay! Not only that but I have found a few newer items that sold for very nice profits also.
The thrift store is a great place to find anything that you need to survive and enjoy life. A few months ago when I moved I decided to go to the thrift store to find items I need. So I went to the old thrift store and managed to find some awesome deals on kitchen goods. I found a cool toaster oven for 5 bucks, a new microwave for 15(sold at wal-mart for $50, and a coffee pot for 2 bucks! I was totally happy with my find that day!
I added up the money and compared to wal-marts prices I found that I saved near 70 bucks that day. Not only do I shop for house items I also love to buy shirts and jeans also! You can go to thrift store on half off clothing day and get about 10 shirts a few pair of jeans for under $20 bucks, that is a true steal!
Since then I have found an awesome set of cooking pots that were barely used that are just awesome. I am sure that if they were bought new they would have been 40-50 bucks! I scored the pans for $5 and also bought a new hard rock T-shirt for 2!
So you been hitting the thrift stores and found some great items! Now you are wondering how to save around the house! I like to buy food items that leave little waste and leave a very small footprint in the landfill. I try to buy food in containers that I can reuse for food storage containers. It is a great way to recycle and save a buck also! I also like to reuse my water bottles and refill them from the tap!
Always keep your bags and don't throw them away! One day they will come in handy when you need one! I also use them as shipping material for protecting items that I sell on Ebay! They are lightweight and free! They are also great for packing things when you get ready to move!
What about that crazy light bill that is reaching for your throat! Well cut it in third! I am

Keep your ties inflated correctly and make sure your plugs and wires are in good working shape. I make a general rule to change them once a year and always make sure your gaps in your plugs are set right. Remember to keep an eye on your oil level, if you get your oil changed like your are supposed to, this should not be a problem. Oh yeah another things, don't run your air in your car!
