Save Money - here are a few suggestions
Did you know most millionaire's are self employed, have a lot of education, value education, their wives don't work, and they're frugal - it adds up! They invest in themselves & live below their means while accumulating wealth.
List of Ways to save Money
Easy & Helpful!!
SHOP ENDCAPSWhenever you go to Target - walk around the ends of each aisle. They have all the clearance merchandise there! Just last week I bought 1. A pack of 24 pencils for 12cents. 2. Colorful folders (for kids school etc.) 2cents each!! 3. packs of Aussie mega conditioner/hairspray for $1.77 each. I stocked up big time!!! Also check out the kids clothes clearance. I buy my daughter beautiful clothes for a fraction of their original price. Don't buy anything full price...check the next week or 2 & it'll be on clearance!
SELL KIDS OUTGROWN CLOTHES, TOYS, COATS AT CONSIGNMENT
I stock up on brand names when they're on sale & have a bin in my garage where I keep clothes etc. the kids have outgrown. THe nice one's that are brand names etc. I sell back to Consignment stores. I go about once a month or every other month & bring out old stuff. I make back about $50.00 a month xtra. Of course I have 6 kids, but if you make $50.00 every 3 months that's still $ for your old stuff!
LOOK ONLINE FOR COUPONS/COUPON CODES
Everytime I go to the mall I look online for coupons first. I also look for coupon codes before buying online. I save a bundle everytime I shop!
JOIN GROUPS ONLINE TO MAKE A BIT XTRA
I've made some xtra cash on Epinions. You just write reviews on products & rate other's reviews of products. The money - it's not much, but it's something!
USE CREDIT CARDS THAT PAY BACK
I've earned hundred of dollars with the toys r us visa card & Disney visa. We pay the card off at the end of each month, but put all our purchases on it. I just received $300.00 to spend at the disney store for Christmas!!! Psyched! I also receive $2-400.00 to use at toys r us. We pay the cards right off, so interest isn't a problem either.
I've made xtra cash on MY POINTS. I just read a few emails a day & for the clicks I get 5 points for each click. When you click so many times & get so many points you can redeem for a gift certificate. How easy is that!!
THis site - Squidoo!! I'm hoping with time this will pay out some, it's fun trying!
Easy & Small ways:
-MAKE YOUR OWN CARDS
If you have a program that makes cards - make them every time instead of buying! It all adds up!
-EAT IN MORE!
-PAINT IT OR FIX IT - instead of buying new every time!
-RECYCLE SODA CANS FOR MONEY
-Use automatic thermostats
-Keep a coupon folder/pouch in your pocketbook. That way if you stop in a store - you'll have the coupon with you!
-Buy generic when it doesn't matter (ex. dishsoap)
-Have a garden! Grow your own herbs also. Herbs are expensive...grow your own.
-STock up when you see a great sale/deal. Put away kids gifts for birthdays - if you see a great sale on toys..buy them, even if you don't need them soon, you will in the future.
-Make your own coffee.
-Don't buy a new car - wear your old one out!
-Don't buy bottled water. Buy a water bottle & fill it up with your own water.
-Cut your family's hair yourself! Color your own hair.
-If you have a 401K matching program at work...Invest! The company will match what you donate & watch the money grow!
-Save your change.
-When your towels get old, cut them into cleaning rags. I just cut 3 large towels into months worth of cleaning rags. Much cheaper than constantly buying sponges & they work great! You can use old, clean socks also.
Sorry if a lot of this seems frugal or even like common sense. I see people needlessly wasting money & resources constantly.

- Using the library books is also an excellent way to save money.
My husband and I read tons of books in a year, there is no way
we could afford to buy all of them.

- Excellent lens! We're big on recycling cans too. When we walk, I carry a bag with me to pick up cans from the park and along the roadside. They sure add up. We earn about $150 a year from cans alone. It's good for us and for the environment.

- As an author I shouldn't say this, but use the library rather than buying books. I read three to four books a week. I was buying them but when I realized how much money I was spending, I renewed my library card.
Great lens,
Lizzy
