There is a right time and a wrong time to "talk" to your boyfriend. Don't try and get his attention when he's watching TV, working on his car, or just enjoying his own space.

We appreciate respect for our personal space, and if we're doing something (even though it may look like absolutely nothing), we're BUSY.

So don't even try and talk to us during this time. If you do, do so at your own risk!

If you want to talk to your boyfriend, you have to create the right environment to do so.

Given that, it's pretty simple to bribe us for some time. Think about what your boyfriend likes. Does he like certain foods? What's his favorite sport? Brainstorm some of his favorite things. Wouldn't it make sense to do something for him that he likes if you want to get on his good side?

Then use these to get on his good side. If he likes chocolate chip cookies, bake some for him. If he likes baseball, buy some tickets to the next game. Doing something that appeals to him will definitely get you his attention.

That will open the door to discussion and getting to the bottom of the issue.

Now that you have your boyfriend's attention, it's time to get down to business. As much as guys won't admit it, we want to hear what you have to say because our feelings were genuinely hurt or something really bothered us. But most of all, it's because our TRUST was taken advantage of.

But there are some things you need to keep in mind. Guys don't like fluffy talk, or sugar coated statements. Just tell us what you want to say and get to the point. Any unnecessary words will just annoy the heck out of us.

Use logic, not emotion, when you talk. Guys are very logical creatures, and there has to be a reason why something happened. Tell us you did "A" because of "B" and make sure it flows. If we don't get an answer that makes sense, it will just make us angrier and more frustrated with you. We don't want to hear lame excuses why you hugged another guy at the bar. We just want to know that you're sorry and that it won't happen again.
