Introduction to basic Spanish words

Spanish is the fourth widest spoken language in the world. Spoken throughout South America and Spain approximate 400 million people world wide speak spanish.

The Spanish language developed over a long period from Latin. For about 600 years Spain was a part of the Roman Empire and after the all of the empire, the Visigoths which controlled the Iberian peninsula adopted Latin as their language which developed over the ages into modern day spanish.
