My SBI! Diary (2008)
Hello. My name is Steve M Nash and you might remember me from such websites as...
:-)
Okay enough of that - let me cut to the chase! My name is Steve, and I'm a web publisher. I'm about to embark on building my second Site Build It! website -- (What is SBI? Click here!) -- and this lens is simply a diary of my efforts to do so.
Yes, this lens is the start of my SBI diary - my second adventure with Site Build It!. This lens will also provide more info. on SBI and you can read other SBI-owners' SBI diaries.
That's it! Enjoy. And do leave feedback, if at all possible. Thanks :-)
Site Build It! Poll
Tens of thousands of people rely on Site Build It! to provide them with all the tools (and support) they need to help them build an online business (or support their offline business). Many have heard of SBI! but just aren't sure if it's the tool/service for them. And millions more have no idea about the life-transforming potential of SBI! Which one are you? :-)
My SBI Diary
Find out how Steve M Nash gets on with building his second SBI website...
Finally finished creating all of the pages for the site (almost - none of the success pages are done, yet!) and am now slowly uploading them, via SBI's "Add Your Own Page". Note: you can't FTP as details of your page have to be added to the SBI! database (that's the way SBI! works).
You get to analyse your pages, one at a time too. That means you can check several on-page SEO factors (like meta keywords meta description and how often your keyword appears in the copy etc.), and make adjustments as necesary.
It's more time consuming than FTP, but at least I know I've uploaded a properly optimised page.
So I've finished the subject of anger management and will go through the rest of my tier2/tier3 pages one category at a time...

FIRST Update: Feb 04, 2008
Today, I build my second SBI! website. (Just as soon as I've finished working on this Squidoo lens, and on building my very own SBI diary. Does this smack of procrastination? I couldn't possibly comment. Ahem!)
What's the big deal? Well SBI provides a step-by-step guide to building a successful website that almost anyone can follow. However, I know a lot about creating websites -- I've been making money from my websites since 1999, and make a full-time living from them since 2001 -- and am, frankly, impatient. I don't like spending too long following lots of steps like planning and keyword research etc. -- I just like to get going, and then I make it up as I go along.
==Aside==
That is, indeed, what I did with my first SBI! website called How I Promote My Website - I just got going and didn't follow all of the steps, properly. Still, HIPMW is in top 1% of all websites created and it maakes a tidy sum from advertising and affiliate marketing every month. This time, though, I just want to do it 'properly'. Fellow SBIers will know what I mean! ;-)
Also my most popular website (not SBI), TextMeFree.com gets over 2000 visitors per day! That's a lot of freebie-seekers indeed that I manage to keep happy using my non-SBI skills. :-)
==Aside==
Also, as of today (Feb 4th) I have absolutely no idea what my second Site Build It! website will be about.
All I know is that in 6 months time my second SBI site will be successful; i.e it will have lots of happy visitors getting loads out of the site content; I will be enjoying maintaining the site (and will have transferred any new knowledge I have gained onto my other websites); AND I will be making a nice extra income from the site.
If not, then I'm going to look pretty foolish. (And I don't like looking foolish unless it's a Wednesday and there's a letter 'a' in the month. ;-) .)
So. Why not declare to the world what I intend to do in the next 6 months? And then I really will have to read the flipping manual (the Site Build It! Action Guide), and to follow the steps exactly, and to ask for help when I need it (from the SBI online forum for SBI owners only) and to, thus, build an even more successful second SBI website!
Again, you can find out more about my progress at My SBI! Diary (2008)
Cheers for reading,
Steve

About Me and Site Build It!
A brief bit of blurb about my experience (and intentions) with using SBI!
I say this as, even though SBI! is ideal for beginners (site building novices), it's also successfully used by site building experts too.
One last thing...
My Site Build It! Site Building Schedule
As a web publsher I currently make a full-time living online (more or less). So that means I am able to do the following to build my second SBI website:
- Spend four mornings per week,
- for the next 6 months
And I'll be following all the steps in the SBI Action Guide throughout.
I just wanted to qualify my efforts in creating a second SBI website. (Just in case you were wondering! :-) )
