Scam Alert !!! - Careful doing business with overseasflowerdelivery.com

If you are looking to send flowers to someone, this is one company you should be concerned about.
If this is truly a legitimate business then why are they hiding from the real world. There is absolutely no contact information besides one email address. There isn't any phone numbers, address, names of an incorporation or any other bsuiness entity. Remember you must be very careful dealing with businesses on the Internet, you are dealing with many different countries with many different laws.

A factual business transaction with overseas flowers 

Asked for a product, paid for a product, and no product, and of course out the money.

An order was placed by on Wednesday evening at 5:35 PM on July 9th 2008 for flowers to be delivered to Trinidad for the following morning. The credit card used for the transaction was debited almost immediately. Wouldn't you think a so called "professional company" who is doing business with numerous other companies who are not only in one country but many different countries, would first check and see if they are able to complete such a transaction prior to an automated system grabbing hold of your money.

Well that's besides the point.....

Next morning I log back on to see if I can check the status of the order because I am concerned with trying to actually send flowers from another country. What I have realized is there isn't any way to track your order. I was actually very surprised that I hadn't picked this up before placing the order. So I decided to click on the live help icon. Apparently that was just for show, it did not work. So my last effort I clicked on the contact us link, thinking I would just call and find out the information. Again to me surprise there wasn't any contact information, only an email form.

Well at this point what did I have to lose. I'm already out $ 153.00 USD. So I sent them an Email at 10:26 am on Thursday, July 10th asking them to please respond with confirmation once the flowers have been delivered.

At 2:32 pm on July 10th Carl from overeseas responded that they would send me confirmation, once they receive it.

So I Waited....

At 5:56 pm there was still no response. So I sent an additional Email. Asking if for some reason it does not make it the day it was requested, if they would be able to deliver it the following morning.

At 1:41 am on Friday July 11th I received an email from Norbert from overseas flowers. It stated that their office in Trinidad confirmed that the flowers were delivered, and then asked me to confirm that they were actually delivered.

I responded at 9:22 am on Friday July 12th that these flowers must be delivered prior to 12:00 pm on this day Friday July 12th because the recipient will no longer be there after this time. I gave them my contact number and the recipient's contact number within the email.

That email went unanswered

At 1:34 pm on Friday I have sent another email stating that it was four hours later and they have falsely stated the flowers were delivered, they failed to deliver the flowers on time as ordered, they ignored the previous emails that were sent along with contact numbers, my credit card was charged. At this point I accused them of being a fraudulent company. I didn't even know what country they were operating out of. At this point I asked them to cancel the order.

No respond to second email.

10:54 pm on Friday Night July 11th, I sent a third email letting them know they were not going to get away with this and this problem was not just going to go away. I made a promise to them that I would let the honest hard working people who use this Internet daily that they would be made aware of this fraudulent company who claims to deliver flowers all over the world.

On Saturday July 12th at 1:52 am, to my amazement, Carl had responded to my last email. He had apologized for the inconvenience and explained that they were misinformed by the office in Trinidad and they were actually out of flowers and could not make the delivery. So they have cancelled my order and refunded my money.

I responded to that email at 9:40 am on Saturday July 12th accepting the apology and gave them a few recommendations for their website, and made them aware that I would be monitoring the return of the money to my credit card.

It is now Tuesday July 15th at 3:41 pm and as of yet I have not received the credit to my card, and/or any response to my emails.

So here I am posting my experience dealing with a fraudulent company from another country that has my money but admittedly failed to deliver goods as promised.....

Thank you for the response, and unfortunately things did not go as planned. As of 9:40am Saturday morning although I am aware you have refunded the money charged to my card it has not posted to my account. I believe by Monday morning I should see it.

You guys might want to think about adding an order tracking system to your website. It would sure make people alot more comfortable when purchasing your services.
