What's featured at Scarborough Seashells this week?

This week I have several new shells and sea creatures available in my eBay store! I am working hard to introduce new specimens each week. Some of the latest I have added are spondylus butleri, epitonium scalare, acteon eloiseae and a very cool piece of cured coral that deserves its own paragraph and photo! -->

This is an Acropora hyacinthus. Also known as Table Coral. This fantastic looking piece was farm raised and is totally aquarium safe. Farm raised coral does not endanger our already diminishing reefs and is the perfect addition to a saltwater tank or shabby beach chic decor!

Even Oprah's resident designer, Nate Berkus has a piece in his living room.

Want a sophisticated look for not a lot of money? Try some coral or a starfish.

Dragonflies and Butteflies - how lovely!

Hand wrapped in solid copper and silvertone wire, these amazing little creatures are actually suncatchers! They are 3-4 inches wide, hang from a silver cord and come with a mini suction cup with hook to hang from your window. What a perfect way to welcome spring!

The Sea Glass Angels Collection

Making their sophmore appearance in our store, these stunning angels are back and better than ever! This year's collection dons golden halos and an exciting new color palette!

***UPDATE*** We only have a limited quanity of red, cobalt and white angels left. We are working hard designing two new sea glass "beings" that will be flying into our store in Spring 2008. Stay tuned for details!

Cool Places to Shop!

I have lots of friends with cool shops. These are some of the places I've been buying lately.

Maggie's Handcraft Studio: My best friend's birthday just went by. I got her the coolest pair of Jerry Garcia guitar pick earrings from Maggie's Handcraft Studio.

I've also bought custom made guitar straps for both hubby and I (made with my choice of fabrics) A HUGE custom tote bag for the beach (which doubles to haul all my shipping to the post office) and a cute denim handbag made from a recycled pair of kids blue jeans!

Country Heart Gifts: This store has some of the best smelling bath salts and scrubs as well as some beautiful handmade polymer clay, plastic canvas and resin items. I bought a gorgeous polymer clay Monarch Butterfly for my mother in law's birthday- So life like you'd swear it could fly away!

Ooooh, most recently my friend Pam, owner of Country Heart Gifts, was featured on the Etsy home page! She sells these delicious lip butters... never heard of them you say? OMG they are to die for! I bought some delicious orange flavored lip butter that I swear is as juicy as on orange! It works like a regular lip balm but without getting all waxy. A wonderful experience for my winter lips!
The City Pantry: Purveyors of fine pantry essentials! My friend Kaye has opened up a new website with the most delectable offerings- fine salts and seasonings, tapanades, spreads, sauces, honey and mustards. They also offer top of the line cutlery, kitchen equipment, a unique array of vintage kitchen and canning items, scrumptious must haves for your 4 legged companions and a sweet and savory collection of tried and true recipes.
