Schecter 7 review

The schecter 7 string guitars are a brutal bunch of guitars. Several schecter models such as the schecter hellraiser and the schecter c series have a 7 string option. I personally owned a schecter c1 classic but I had to try the schecter 7 series for myself.  Read my findings in this schecter 7 review!

Opening the box

When I opened the box to my new schecter 7 hellraiser I drooled. This guitar is so incredibly good looking I was almost afraid to play it. The finish is perfectly especially for a guitar in this price range.

Playability

How does the schecter 7 feel?

The neck of the schecter c7 hellraiser was bigger than I was used to. This took some getting used to but right now I love it. The jumbo frets were very nicely finished I did not detect any sharp edges.
Shredding is NOT a problem on this guitar by the way. If someone ever told you that you need a thin neck to shred they don't know what they are talking about. As I said it takes some getting used to but after that you are all set.

Sound?

The EMG pickups in my schecter c7 are surprisingly mellow. Don't get me wrong they are loud but when I want to play some moderate rhythm piece they are totally capable of this. When you play it clean the guitar sounds very much like it uses single coils but boy when you run some gain over it do you awaken a beast! I play mainly metal and the solo's I play on this guitar sound so good

Where to buy schecter?

I spent a long time searching online for where to buy schecter guitars. There are a lot of stores out there and allot of them look like they are not to be trusted. When I bought my c1 I bought it from one of these stores and though I did get my guitar the support was very bad. When I bought the schecter c7 I was glad to find out Amazone now sells guitars as well. Amazone has really proven to be a trustworthy store over the years and I had no trouble ordering from them.
