Ecosphere
The ecosphere manifests itself as a working ecological system. It serves the delicate balance of a closed ecosytem like our own mother earth. Let us use an example of a transparent environment: a sealed glass with small variety of shrimp, algae and other microorganisms living in sea water. This is an example that can be used as a foundational construct of al the essential elements that are found on our planet. This is an ecosphere.
The minimum sustainability of life in the espherewill range from 2 to 3 years. But it all depends on temperature conditions of the setting and the differences in light source. This ecosphere is able to live with only sunlight as their primary input. There is no additional maintenance required needed as long it is placed in a comfortable location. The life of the ecosphere depends on the various sizes. The larger ones have a greater potential to live longer.
The underlying concept of having a ecosphere depicts the ecosystem of the earth. It illustrates that you can construct self contained ecological systems. Nature's Odyssey provides ecospheres in many sizes. The number of shrimp depends on the variety sizes you choose. Smaller sizes of ecospheres are perfect as an accent on your desk while extra large spheres makes a stunning display in any home or homes that contains approximately 30 - 40 shrimp.
