Science Diet Dog Food - the solution to dog food recalls and disease?
With all the food recalls and problems in commercial dog food, I have started to think better about wahat I feed my dogs. My Yorkies are very bad eaters. I tried everything to make them eat, bought all possible brands of commercial dog food on the market. They would eat it for maybe 2 weeks or 3, and then they would go off it again. They were thin and with a dull coat, just because they don't like the food. And now I started thinking, that it was probable the quality of the stuff which made them go off it. They were right that they did not want to eat it!!!
I added a recipe for you to try from a new book I recently bought. They love the recipes in the book, and I thought I might just give you one as a gift.

The Solution
Healthy Tasty Recipes
Then I found this book. The author says that feeding your dog healthy food, can increase it's life span with 8 years. I first wasn't very interested in that, I just want my Yorkies to look good and be nice and fat and round ;-) I have 8 beautiful Yorkies, and at the moment even a litter of 5 puppies, and of course my old guard dog Timmy. My headache were the Yorkies, but since I started feeding differently, Timmy's old age complaints also improved a lot.

Dogfood - article
Dog food is food intended for consumption by dogs or other canine. Special types of dog food, given as a reward, and not as a staple, are known as dog treats.
Some people make their own dog food, feed their dogs meals made from ingredients purchased in grocery or health-food stores or give their dogs a raw food diet. Many others rely on commercially manufactured dog food.
There are varying opinions on what type of diet is best for dogs. Some argue that dogs have thrived on leftovers and scraps from their owners for thousands of years and that commercial dog foods (which have only been available for the past century) contain poor-quality meats, additives, and other ingredients dogs should not ingest. Some maintain that commercial dog food is not nutritionally sufficient.
