Who is Wallace Wattles?

In the preface to The Science of Getting Rich, perhaps one of the greatest books ever written, Wallace Wattles advises us to limit our study (as he must have himself) to "the monistic theory of the universe--the theory that One is All, and that All is One; that one Substance manifests itself as the seeming many elements of the material world.

This theory is of Hindu origin, and has been gradually winning its way into the thought of western world for three hundred years. It is the foundation of all the Oriental philosophies, and those of Descartes, Spinoza, Leibnitz, Schopenhauer, Hegel and Emerson."

He continues, "The reader who would dig to the philosophical foundations is advised to read Hegel and Emerson for himself."

Through his tireless study and application of New Thought Principles Wallace was able to turn his life from poverty and failure in a prosperous way of living. Having discovered these secrets, Wallace began to write books to share these principles and Universal Laws with the world.

Wattles died in 1911, not long after the 1910 publication of The Science of Getting Rich. His books, although known and used by the "lucky few" are finally being re-released to the public and are once again assisting thousands of people to live a more complete life.

Napoleon Hill

Napoleon Hill is considered to have influenced more people into success than any other person in history. Born in a one-room cabin, he began his career as a journalist. His big break came when he was asked to interview steel-magnate Andrew Carnegie, who was so impressed with the young reporter that he convinced Hill to research and organize the world's first philosophy of individual achievement. The project took 20 years to complete. Hill wrote several best-selling books on the subject. Napoleon Hill's "Think And Grow Rich" is one of Nightingale-Conant's best-selling programs of all time.

Hi Pat, as you already know, I'm a huge fan of Napoleon Hill and I've read Think and Grow Rich many times over the last three decades. I bought Law of Success last year and I've already read it twice - all 1,035 pages. I've heard about Wallace Wattle's The Science of Getting Rich and I just now found two copies of the ebook on my computer. But, I have to admit that I've only skimmed it and never really stopped to read it. You've reminded me to do so. Thanks. Act on your dream! JD
