This is beautifully done and made me realise what treasures the Scottish landscapes hold. I'll be delighted to feature this on my All About Scotland lens. :)

It is really difficult for me to imagine a building that has stood so many years -- I cannot imagine how wonderful it would be to visit one of these beautiful castles! To stand where people have stood for centuries. Powerful image! Beautiful lens! Blessed by a joyful SquidAngel!

Though all of the castles are magnificent in their beauty, Dunure Castle brought chills to my body as I looked upon it in the historic romantic sense seeing waves crashing it's shores in the moonlight as the wind whips around her. Such history, such beauty, should be restored.

Dunure evokes many vivid visions of crashing waves, a cloud veiled moon, flowing hair, long coats, and an enduring love.

    Beautiful.
    Thanks!

My wife spent around a week or so in Scotland, I'll have to ask her if she saw any of these castles. Very interesting, great work!

Lovely lens. Mentions a few of my ancestors and siblings or cousins of others.

Some of the images and text would go well in the Genealogy Wikia, a free cooperative wiki with 31,000 articles (growing fast).

Beautiful castles, though I like my home warm and cozy, and I fear the Castles would be a bit drafty; 5* and lensrolled into Dragon Coloring Pages.

Some of my ancestors belonged to the Kennedy Clan and much of our history goes back to some of the castles in the Ayeshire area.

Clerk of Works, Farquar Macrae? Firth of Clyde? You can't make this stuff up. I knew a kid in school named Clyde Firth. I've never been to a castle unless Scotty's Castle in Death Valley counts, so this is a nice imaginary tour. Thanks Debra. 5*

The castle I would like to visit the most is Edinburgh Castle. I recently posted a lens about the annual Military Tattoo that is held there. From my understanding, with its history of use as fortification for war, it is absolutely imposing with its awesome architecture. I often think "If only their walls could talk.".....
