Create a "Scout" and activate it.

I set up my regular art website first. Then they ask you to put some code onto your site. This is known as your "stage." (I didn't like finding out I had to add code to my site after the fact). I don't like putting stuff like this on my main page of my site because it slows loading speed - so I will add it to my About the Artist page of my website. We'll see if it still works.

It did work, and now I have a Scoutle profile page for that Scout. I notice that there is a number next to my name in parentheses. The number is the ranking each Scout has. The number will go up or down appropriately. The site is constantly checking rankings, so one minute you will look and see your rank is 300, the next minute it could pop up to 500 or down to 200.

Easy to use, I never got confused.

The site is from Dutch developers, so you may find that the English is a little bit "off," but they are working on an English translation fix. It hasn't bothered me, though...I kind of like it! Yah, I do. It's a keeper.

They may charge membership fees eventually (oh well)

Participation will require you to place some Shockwave/Flash code on your site.

Scoutle links do not work on Squidoo, because the Scoutle links are shockwave-flash.

The site is new, and the connections you get will be better as the website user population grows. Help it grow and help yourself gain valuable connections and contacts. I have already made some connections to other artists and other artist's blogs from Scoutle. You get out of things what you put into them.
