You have finally decided to get out that box of photos and organize them. If you're anything like me just making the effort was a big jump. Start by sorting your photos, then group them into categories. For each category select a them. After that, now you can choose some colors of safe paper that will make your photos the best they can be. You can even be like me and experiment with colors like crazy. You should keep experimenting until you have found the colors you like. Include some decorative paper that goes with the theme of your pages.

Now for your pictures. You need a photo to act as the focal point. Choose photos with nice color, great lighting and that really look sharp. You have your focal point, now lets make it stand out more than any other photos you have chosen for the page. You can do this by widening the border around the photo, or cutting different shapes into the border. Just don't be afraid to get creative.

What memories does that page bring to mind? Put your thoughts in writing. Journaling the why, what, when and who is what makes it extra special.

Keep your pages balanced by arranging everything so that they are mimic the letter Z. To check your pages so that they there balanced, you could pretend that they're on a scale. See which side could tip over as if it were on a scale.

Last step, you can add plenty of extras like stickers, stamps, etc. to spice up the page.
