A Screenwriting Course from a Professional

A full screenwriting course in an e-book is a writer's dream. Acclaimed screenwriter Philip Gladwin reviews his own entire process for writing from blank page to first draft.
Consider this book as a must have for any writer aspiring to the big screen. The resources included for finding free screenwriting software are worth the price alone.

Philip Gladwin has the chops, and he gives it to you straight. It's almost paint by numbers scriptwrting, but with endless room for creativity. If you have taken a screenwriting course or courses or are thinking about it then grab a copy. I don't want to say it's the only book you should read, because it's not. It should be in your arsenal and you should read until your eyes pop out of your head. Reading is good for you.

..After reading this thing I went into my storage room and pulled out every script I had ever written and promptly spent the winter doing massive re-writes. His flag pole technique is what did it for me. Also, since the guy has a pretty healthy amount of screen credits to his name, you know that what he's talking about will actually get you there. It's a great supplement and instruction manual for any budding writer seeking a screenwriting course.

A Screenwriting course with no class

It was so hard to find some good stuff online for a screenwriting course. I didn't want to be in a classroom because, well I have a life (it's really a work in progress lol. My life is on its fourth draft and still stumbling. I wish I had a better-looking protagonist).
Anyway, grab the e-book, it's fully loaded and supported. It's how I developed a complete process for writing a screenplay. Structure and structure with more structure, discipline, inspiration and love, that's what's needed. Philip Gladwin is a seasoned professional who gives it to you straight. It was great to be able to analyze his complete process and roll some of it into my own.

A Screenwriting course that doesn't take all your time

Don't ask me why it took so long for my old tech deficient brain to finally look on the Internet for some courses. Duh. There are lots of tips and pointers on the subject but no real screenwriting course.
Finally, finally, finally found a complete e-book on the subject that takes you from a blank page to your first finished draft. Yes, write on your schedule, on your time, with expert guidance AND you don't have to be in a class when you could be working at a day job to pay your rent. Brilliant. Don't waste your valuable time sitting in a class, just get the e-book and learn anywhere, anytime.

Screenwriting course Triumph

I was so amateur it hurt. I took a screenwriting course at my community college and started writing like a demon. I look at some of my first scripts and laugh my pants off. No wonder people who read them could only tender comments like interesting, unique, or that's a start.
Practice makes perfect, or at least a 9.9. I strongly recommend grabbing a copy of this book because it will make a huge difference. It did to me and I wish this thing were written years ago. If I had started with proper guidance I wouldn't be spending time undoing bad habits.

If your going to take a screenwriting course then read this book first.
