Scribbleprints by Gale

Many of my designs are based off a method which starts with scribbles that are then edited and colored and made into something new. I started creating these types of designs back in high school, decorating the edges of my notes to pass the time in class. In fact, my favorite stationery design that I sell through Zazzle now was actually created in a very boring college history course.

These doodles weren't representative...just interesting patterns to play with. I started making shapes out of them when I opened my first shop at CafePress. The first shaped design was a scribbled pine tree. It's still one of my favorites, though unfortunately I didn't understand a lot about designing for print then, so I really need to re-work it to improve the print quality.

Not long afterwards I started calling these designs Scribbleprints...and gradually this became the name for my shops and blog. My CafePress shops, though, still go by the original names I had: Gale's Gifts and Gale's Giggles.
