31 Days of Proverbs
Objective: To read a chapter from the Book of Proverbs everyday for 31 days and then share with the readers what the scripture means to me. I challenge you to read Proverbs with me daily and post a comment as well.
I know that many people have their own conviction about the the Holy Bible and what it means to them but this is not the place for a theological debate. This is a community of people who are coming together to read from the Book of Proverbs and share their thoughts .

Proverbs 1: If you gain wealth by taking from others, you will not have any peace in your life. A thief and a murderer will never have any peace in their lives because they always will have to look over their shoulder to see who is coming after them. If you want to live a peaceful life then you should live an honest life.Proverbs 2: If you follow the ways of crooked people, then you stand the possibility of getting caught up in their mess. Watch the company that you keep because you will be influenced by their behaviors. Surround yourself around people who are honest and who have "doing the right thing" on their minds.
Proverbs 3: Get into the practice of saving your money. A good practice is to save 10% of your income. When you have money saved it adds to your peace because when something happens and you need extra money you will be prepared.
Proverbs 4: Monitor your thoughts and make sure they are pure. If you have constant thoughts of stealing, murder, envy, hate, jealousy, revenge, etc Pray to God for those thoughts to be removed. There is health and death in your thoughts.
Proverbs 5 Use discretion when spending your money. If you are spending your money partying all of the time, especially in your youth, you are just making other people rich. Use your money to make yourself rich, Start learning how to invest your money early.
Proverbs 6 Strive to know more than you already know. Surround yourself around people who can advise you or who are an expert in the field that you are pursuing. Make sure that you understand what you are learning and that you apply it to your life
Proverbs 7 The wonderful thing about having insight is that you can look ahead and for see any disasters before they occur. If you are able to see what's coming ahead of time, you are in a great position to make the right choices concerning your life's direction
Proverbs 8 Take every opportunity you can to learn, especially before you start a mission, Before you start a new beginning, make sure that you have researched it and have counseled with others. It's better to have knowledge of something than to have to knock your head and waste time trying to figure it out
Proverbs 9 Getting wisdom requires getting knowledge and that knowledge can be from books, audio, classes, experience etc. When you are seeking wisdom, you can not be a "Know-it-All" You have to be willing to listen to someone who knows more than you. You also must be willing to ask questions to the point that you understand the knowledge that you are gaining.
Proverbs 10 You hear people say, "Put God first" but what does that actually mean. When you put God first, you consult with God before you do any and everything. I like to pray before my day begins and ask God for guidance in every area of my life. When you put God first, your day will go way more smoother than doing it yourself and then asking God to bail you out of trouble
Proverbs 11 Strive to live your life doing good. Your life will be much easier if you are fair in your dealings with other and if you try to live an upright life. You should also strive to have a good character and not be perverted in your actions
