I knew him when. . .

You've seen Napoleon Dynamite?  Well this is the man behind the masterpiece.  There were others I'm sure, but since he drove Heather and me to the grocery store in the middle of the night because he had a car and we didn't, hosted sword fighting tournaments in the quad, and increased the pretension of Martin hall though the training of his minions in all things "Esquire" this lens is for him.

Sean got married!

Sean proposed to Alexa Vega of Spy Kids fame in October 2009 in his home state of South Dakota. Check out the great article from the Hot Springs Star. My favorite part is the extensive interview with Sean's mom. Go Kris!
Movie screening leads to encore production
Alexa Vega and Sean Covel will be married next October, after Covel managed to overcome several obstacles and propose to Vega during a screening of "Broken Hill," a feature film they are involved with, in Hot Springs last month.

Sean and Alexa were all over the Sunscreen festival. Alexa was awesome in several acting workshops, a pure ball of energy, and her experience goes back 16 years of acting. If you see bits of smalltown South Dakota in the movie, it's because the producer, Sean Covel, grew up in Edgemont. He graduated from high school there in 1994 and went on to success in Hollywood. He lives in Encino, Calif.











Covel came back to Hot Springs for a showing of the film last fall. "My ego enjoyed the ride!" he said about his homecoming. There's a chance he may attend the South Dakota Book Festival this coming September in Deadwood. If he does, there'll be a sh...0 points
