 THE SCENT YOU EXPECT

Products are tried and tested before they are offered to the public

I have a large home, and my products must give out a scent into almost every room. If they don't, I go back to the testing phase and start all over.

Candle Facts and Safety

Candles can be categorized into types: Pillars, Votives, Tapers, Tealights, Floating, Outdoor, Container, and Novelty. Another category are the wax tarts, tart melts, candle melts. These are meant to be melted in a simmer pot or tart burner to release the scent.

Most candles are purchased and used by women.

The most popular scents seem to be fruity, floral, and kitchen/food. A lot of people go for the popular "aromatherapy" candles. Most candles do not contain enough essential oils to be called a true aromatherapy candle.

Most candles are made with paraffin. Other crafters use beeswax, gel, soy, or other synthetic type materials.

Don't be fooled by advertising gimmics such as "triple scented". Wax will only hold so much fragrance oil and the excess oil will make the candle burn improperly and consider it to be unsafe.

Contrary to some beliefs, paraffin wax is not toxic. Some people report having asthma attacks or develop an allergic reaction to candles. That reaction is most likely not caused by the type of wax used, but by the fragrance oil. If a reaction is triggered, that particular fragrance should be avoided.

Candles are safe when burned properly. Read and follow all label directions

NEVER LEAVE A BURNING CANDLE UNATTENDED

KEEP CANDLE OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN AND PETS

DO NOT BURN A CANDLE NEAR DRAPES, OPEN WINDOWS, OR ANYTHING THAT CAN CATCH FIRE

KEEP THE WICK TRIMMED TO 1/4" BEFORE LIGHTING

BURN CANDLES ON A HEAT RESISTANT SURFACE

THROW THE CANDLE AWAY WHEN THERE IS 1/2" OF WAX LEFT IN THE CONTAINER

DO NOT BURN CANDLES IN A CONTAINER THAT IS NOT SPECIFIED AS SAFE FOR CANDLES

Candles can add enjoyment and comfort, just remember SAFETY FIRST
