Web 2.0 is Social Networking, Bookmarking, Blogging, Squidooing etc...

Have you looked into Web2.0 yet? I have been doing a lot of research lately about this so called web2 phenomenon.

This New Internet,so to speak,is being built very
rapidly. Large social networking communities with thousands of members being created through social interaction.

There's been a lot of talk about Web2.0 lately and
there are numerous ways on how you can tap into Web20 to sell your products.

What you don't do is join the community and blatantly advertise your wares in your posts. You will most likely get banned for that.

You need to become a part of the community by answering questions,making comments,suggestions etc...

Business networking is also taking place using this platform. Facebook and Giblink are good examples of business networking in action.

That creates exponential growth making it a very attractive way to reach people.

Social bookmarking sites allow you to store, sort, share and search for links on the Internet. There are web page bookmarks and there are specialized services focused on a particular subject like feeds, books, map locations and so on. Sites like Digg.com, Del.icio.us, Reddit, StumbleUpon - are all social bookmarking sites.

Social Networking

Social networking sites have folks who assemble to form individual groups similar to communities. There are many of these online networking websites on the Internet. For instance Ryze, LinkedIn, MySpace, Orkut, etc. Once a memeber joins he/she can look at the profiles of other members and contact them. These sites enable members to build business relationships as well as friendships in any country. These sites are popular because they are free to join and easy to use.

Video Sharing

Who hasn't heard of YouTube.com? There are several free video sharing sites online that let you upload, share, download and comment on videos in addition to offering a whole lot of other features. Tagging your videos with the right words can get it picked up by the search engines and bring it up in the search results. Internet marketers are recognizing this goldmine and using it to explode web 2.0 traffic to their websites for free.

Pod-Casting

This involves publishing of audio programming that is then distributed over the Internet so that the listeners can listen to it at their convenience. Users can subscribe to the feeds. Since there are no issues about bandwidth anyone can earn with podcasting. Almost anything can be podcast and marketers can make good use of this web 2.0 medium. When people perceive value in information they want, they are willing to pay for it.

Blogs

Bloggers can be highly influential because when people want reviews and information, they prefer to refer to a blog, perceiving them as trustworthy in terms of recommendations and interaction. The top blogs are regularly updated with fresh content. Since it is possible to subscribe to them with an RSS feed, blogs see a high level of targeted traffic that keeps coming back for more. Businesses can put them to good use by providing valuable content and for increasing their link popularity.

Combining all these elements will bring in lots of targeted traffic and of course increase your revenues.
