Cover Your True Identity with Masks, Capes, Robes and Hooded Costumes

One easy way to create a fast, fun, simple and unique Halloween costume is to start with with a mask, cloak, cape or robe to hide your true identity.

Halloween is a time when children and grown-ups alike get to take on a different identity for a a few hours, a night or a day and be a bit mysterious about our true identities.

There are many characters in stories, movies and on television who are wear a mask or a cape, robe or a hood to cloak their true identity in some way. Some of them cloak themselves for good like Dread Pirate Roberts, Zorro and Batman others for evil like Count Dracula, the Death Eaters and Lord Voldemort.

Turning yourself into a cloaked character is an easy, last minute Halloween costume for adults, teens, tweens and kids.

Cloaking your identity is perhaps one of the fastest and simplest Halloween costumes and one of my favorites, year after year. Read on to discover many different ways to quickly cloak your identity for a quick Halloween costume.

Count Dracula, Vampire

Be a Twilight or True Blood Vampire

With the increasing popularity of vampires from the "True Blood" series, "Twilight" and even the Disney show "My Babysitter's a Vampire," regular vampires are now also in vogue.

You can turn yourself into a modern vampire very, very easily.

    1. Get a pair of Vampire teeth.
    2. Apply Vampire teeth to your own teeth.
    3. Wear normal clothes.
    4. Show your 'fangs' when appropriate.
    5. You have become a modern vampire.
Being a modern vampire doesn't really cloak your identity, it gives you an interesting new one.

Bachelor Contestant and Model, Madison Garton, from the second Brad Womack season, showed how vampire fangs are becoming more popular when she brought and wore her vampire fangs to the show.

A simple formula for turning your child into a Hogworts' finest, Harry Potter or one of his pals Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger.
    1. Take a pair of glasses.

    3. Add a scarf.

To transform yourself into one of the Death Eaters, Harry Potter's foe it is pretty easy.

    1. Start with a long cape.

    3. You have been transformed into one of the Death Eaters, or perhaps he who must not be named.
You can pick from one of the lesser Death Eaters Lucius Malfoy or Bellatrix or the main death eater himself, Lord Voldemort.

    1. Take one Fancy Hat (optional)
    2. Add a Cape, pull over your head (if you didn't get the hat)
