eBay doesn't make it easy to contact a Customer Service Representitive by phone. They prefer all contact be made via email or instant message.

I know many people prefer to talk to a real live person when they have questions.

How To Contact Your Trading Partner

Start by clicking on the "ADVANCED SEARCH" link that can be found near the top of every page on eBay.
On the right hand side of the page, under members, you'll see "find contact information"
Click on it and eBay will ask you to log in. The next prompt will ask for the item number of the transaction you are inquiring about.
Once that information has been completed, eBay will send you an email with the persons phone number. eBay will automatically send an email to your trading partner letting them know you have requested their phone number and include your phone number as well.

A Simple Way To Contact eBay If You Have A Store

Inside the "Manage My Store" area, towards the bottom you'll find a call out box with a phone number, Skype Number and Live Chat Link.
I'm not gonna reveal what they are because they are easily accessible.
Having a eBay Store has some privileges!

How To Contact eBay Via Email

Not in a hurry for the answer? Send eBay an email. A cutomer service representive will respond (usually with a canned answer) within 5 to 7 days.

You can find the email contact by clicking on the help tab on the top navigation bar.

Once inside the Help section, look for the callout box on the left hand side. You'll see a "contact us" link

How To Contact eBay Via Live Help

Just Like Instant Messager

Need to talk to a customer service rep after hours? You can Instant Message them from the eBay Home Page.

Look under the Java/Sun Logo on the top of the home page. There is a tiny little blue link that called "Live Help"

Click on it and you will be taken to live chat. You probably will have to wait a few minutes for a customer service rep to come on the line.

While your waiting, start typing out your question.

    I googled paypal about 6 month's ago, I don't know if the contacts & numbers are still current. I have paypal Phone number as 408-967-5033 Contact, actually I just dialed & it says extension 00000 please wait. & then it says extension not valid. I did press 0 & it was just silent. However, it is 5;20p.m. est. So the contact name I have is Michael Oldenburg. When I googled it, it said. Michael O wants to hear complaints. (Yeah right). Ryan Downs Senior Vice President of Operations Paypal & e-bay. Hope everything is right I have to contact SOMEONE on 4-25-11. Good Luck to EveryOne.

    They Paypal wait untel i buy via ebay and then freez my account 5th time.Then they start with the demands for my banking account info.no never, + more credit card accounts info. i have a forcefed paypal credit card bill comes to my home and i always have paid in full on time.i spent 5 hours online/on the phone on hold keep getting teli market type operators saying ill connect you to a security specialist.disconnected over and over.one teli operator asking for my SSN and D.O.B. not the security specialist the goof operator who first answeres the phone.They wont even let me close my account without a copy of my D.L. and Phone bill.     I get back from a deployment and PayPal I guess tried to send me another debit card for my account. Naturally I didn't get it, so when I replied back to the dozen or so emails to activate a card I didn't get, I had to re-apply with a credit check to get a replacement debit card. I then got an email that there was a problem with my account and to go the resolution center. In order to keep my account unlimited I now have to send in a Photo ID as the only way to verify my account. Ok, so I've had to update my password, verify addresses and account information, re-apply for a debit card with a credit check and now they want me to send them a Photo ID. Well I don't use this account anymore; I haven't for months, so now I want to just close it instead of disclosing any more of my personal information to them So I tried to call the customer service number, you have to submit to a service for $9.99 a month to get more information to the number, not customer service. I only found a number that got me to a person by dong a Google search (1-402-935-2050) revealing other frustrated customers. Once I got a person I was told that I HAVE TO SUBMIT THE PHOTO ID IN ORDER TO CLOSE MY ACCOUNT!!! WHAT???!! PayPal policies and some new Federal regulations still can't/won't allow me to close my account even with all the information I provided until I submit a photo ID. This is ridiculous and is it even legal? I understand needing all that for opening an account, but to close it, this is taking "for security purposes" too damn far!!! I didn't have to provide all this to open any accounts!
