Squidoo is basically a huge "information" web storehouse.
"Lenses" are seperate "information" web sites, usually 1-2 pages long, that offer "expert knowledge" on just about any subject you can imagine.
"Lensmasters" are the authors of the lenses they create. They are viewed by the public as credible sources of information in their own particular "niche".
The most effective and efficient way to make money on Squidoo is to offer independant reviews of desirable products and optimize your lens for your niches top keywords.

Here are some advantages of using Squidoo for all your online marketing.

1. No Charge - Squidoo is free to use and you can make as many lenses as you want covering as many subjects as you want.
2. Fast Google Indexing - Your lens, with it's niche keywords, can be indexed in as little as 2-3 days. A recent lens I put up was indexed and placed 7th out of 6 Million pages in only 6 days - This Works !
3. High Google Rankings - When targeting your lens for a particular keyword, it will often show up on the first 1-3 pages of Google - See example above.
4. Simplicity - Squidoo is probably the easiest site I have ever used. I can set up a lens in 10-15 mins including RSS feed.
5. Freedom - Unlike other similair sites, you can put up just about anything on your lens without being penalized. However "spammy" lenses will be deleted. Affiliate promotions are O.K but realise you are contributing to the community and your content matters.

Good research is essential to your success on Squidoo.
If you are really familiar with your chosen "niche" then you will be viewed as an expert lensmaster. If you don't know what to create then some suggestions would be -

1. Weight Loss - Everyone at one time or another wants to lose weight.
2. Music related lenses, particularly if you can offer some Free downloads.
3. Acne related - always a hot subject.

Always check out the Top 100 Lenses to see why they are there, see what they write about and write it a little different.
These Top 100 will be getting a lot of traffic from Google and other search engines and you can be pretty sure they are making good money on what they are focussing on.

DO NOT build lenses on the following:-
The 4 biggest offenders in the spam world are:
--Pharmaceuticals
--Online gambling
--Underage or violent sexual content
--Dealing with credit card debt
--and a few that are harder to generalize, but obvious when you see them.

One of the main things I like about Squidoo is that it is so easy to create a Lens. So much so that I am converting most of my marketing to this method.
First thing is to sign up at www.squidoo.com- upper right hand corner.
Select a username plus your E.Mail address and you're good to go.

Step 1. Click on "Create a Lens" and give it a Title , this is where you want your keyword or words that your niche is going to be about.
Step 2. Select "I just want to do my own thing", you can change it later.
Step 3. Give your Lens a Title , this is where you want your keyword or words that your niche is going to be about.
Step 4. You now pick your URL that is where people can find your Lens. Again you want your keyword or words in the URL but you have options. Lets say you're Title is Acne Cures then you can try "acne-cures" or "acnecures" or "acne_cures" and if they are all gone then simply put a number in i.e "acne-cures-1".
I have a Lens which is all one word which is at #6 first page of Google so it really does'nt seem to matter. Some Lenses will do good, some won't.
Step 5. Here you add 3 tags, but you can add more later. I have read that you cannot have more than 20 tags to a Lens.
That's basically it - Congratulations, you are now a "LensMaster"

The first thing to do is create your Lens Biography.
Here you would write something about yourself which adds to your credibility, upload a photo of yourself or a picture to represent your Lens, again credibility counts. Don't click on "make this your default bio" unless you have many talents and are knowledgeable in all. I would suggest linking to your website or blog in your bio.

Next edit your "introduction". This is the most important part of your Lens and again adds credibility to what you are about.
You could pre-sell a product or simply put some information on your niche and try to sell when you add "modules".
Some headlines which work for me are "Have you ever wondered" or "I've tried everything until...".

Remember to always try to solve a problem for your visitor.
When you write "bold" your keywords.
Next "save" this Lens and then add 4-5 Modules to complete your page.
My page would have a couple of "write modules", a "video module" if I can find an applicable video on youtube, an "RSS module" to pull content from one of my other sites, and some "links modules" if I want to add some books etc , you can also put on a "poll module", the "guestbook" etc to give your Lens some interacivity with your visitors.
Check the Top 100 to get some ideas and go for it.

Now for the fun stuff and believe me when I first found out about this strategy and saw the results I was totally hooked. This WORKS and FAST!

Go to http://www.onlywire.com and sign up for an account .
You are then presented with a page with 15 social bookmarking sites, sign up for each of these and I recommend using the same username and password so it's easy to remember. Save all logins.

Click and drag the link that says "Save page (Std) (No Frames)" to your toolbar.
Load up your Lens page and then simply Click the button in your toolbar that says "Save Page", a page will be shown with your Lens details already filled in, simply add tags and - Important - write a description, do not miss doing that. Click on "Submit Page" - Voila! - You're page has been submitted to 15 sites all with PR4/5 so you have 15 links pointing back to your page.

Using this I have made it to the first page of Google in under 1 week, it Works, It's Fast but as in anything, do'nt abuse it or you will get banned.

Many people, including myself, are in such a rush to complete and publish their Lens, they often forget one crucial action - "Ping your Lens".

Just visit http://www.pingoat.com and you are presented with a page containing web content publishers (much like onlywire), Pingoat alerts these various sites and therefore you will be indexed quicker.

Simply Add your Lens Title, and your URL, submit to them all and click "Go Pingoat", thats it.
Anytime you update your Lens then Ping it.
There are other Pinging services which I will put in this section later.

Again with this service don't go crazy - moderation is the key !

Stumbleupon for Super Fast Indexing

One thing about StumbleUpon, Google absolutely loves it and hence indexes it much faster than ordinary sites, here's what you do -
1. Sign up for a StumbleUpon account - HERE,
now this is my link but I will also link to you to drive traffic to your sites.
2. Download the Toolbar to your browser .
3. Select a user name and password
4. When your toolbar is installed simply load your Lens in your browser and in the Toolbar Click on "I Like it"(top Left).
5. Your site will appear on your StumbleUpon page, just check the tags are right and the description and Save.
6. As you save more pages you can put your RSS Feed into your Squidoo Lenses again this will drive traffic to your sites .
