Why Build a Chicken House?
Hen House Plans Offer So Much More
There really has never been a better time to enjoy the fantastic experience of keeping and raising your own chickens at home.As was previously said, it seems that there has been a massive explosion in popularity worldwide for people wanting to keep poultry. It could be because we are far more aware of our food sources these days and to supply the huge demand for eggs the poultry industry has a big job on its hands. Not to mention the rising fast costs of buying eggs in a store. Whatever the reasons it is certainly proving to be the way forward.
The downside is that the conditions that some of the poor old chickens are often kept in commercially are not always the best for them. Especially in looking after their health and welfare needs, this in turn can unfortunately be reflected in a poor taste and quality of their eggs.
If you have ever had the pleasure of eating free range eggs then you will know exactly what this means as they contain one third less cholesterol, quarter less saturated fat and two thirds more Vitamin A than store bought eggs so you know how tasty they are going to be when you cook them, they just ooze goodness.
So building your own chicken coop using the best hen house plans is not only an ideal situation for housing your hens safely and healthily, but it also guarantees that the food source your hens will be producing for you and your family is only of the best quality.

- I'd love to keep chickens. Not enough space though :-) One of the wonderful things I remember, as a child, was being able to collect eggs, still warm from the hen.
