Disney World secrets we have learned
First, one has to realize that "Disney World" is a whole big area of various attractions, it is not only the park with the magical castle...
This specific park, which is a must visit, is called "The Magic Kingdom" but there are many others places and parks to visit.
When you plan your vacation at Disney World, you should take into consideration the following factors:
1. How many days will you stay?
2. How old are your kids?
3. Is it your first visit?
4. Your budget....
Vacation plan example - 4 days in Orlando
Family of five (2 adults, 3 children)
We spent one full day in each of the four attractions we have visited:
The Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Typhoon Lagoon (water park) and the Disney Quest.
Some planning tips:
* First visit? we suggest to start at the Magic Kingdom, it is the perfect place to get into the Disney fever...
* Spend a whole day in each park, there is no need to buy HOP tickets and hop from park to park on the same day, you will waste time and money
* Do not miss the evening shows - especially the one at Epcot - it is amazing!
* Get to know the "Fast Track" system, it is the only way to get inside the most popular park attractions without standing in line for an hour,
In any case, avoid lines with a queue longer than 45 minutes (shown clearly at the entrance to each attraction)
* Days at the park are exhausting (but great) so we strongly recommend combining a day at a water park - it is a closed park and parent can have some rest.
* Take pictures with the Disney figures - it is the best souvenir ever. the queue is managed by an efficient and nice Disney employee so you don't wait much.

Disney Attractions we have visited
Children ages - 7, 10, 13
When planning we looked for attractions for more "older" kids... our youngest was 7 years old.
We have decided to skip "Animal Kingdom" because of lack of interest to our 10 & 13 years old.
Our plan for the 4 days vacation at Disney World Orlando was the following:
Day 0 afternoon - arrival to Orlando, tickets collection (where from? see the last part of this page) - an evening walk at Disney Downtown.
Day 1- Magic Kingdom early arrival 9:15 stayed until closing 21:00
Best attractions: Splash Mountain, Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin, Mickey's PhilharMagic, Stitch's Great Escape and Walt Disney's Carousel of Progress.
Day 2- Epcot - Great for older kids and parents (kids older than 7, my opinion) - Do not the night show at 22:00
Attractions we liked the most at Epcot - Soarin' ( a MUST go and get a fast track ticket when you arrive), Imagination! Pavilion, Innoventions, Mission: SPACE, Test Track
Day 3 - Typhoon Lagoon - a great water park, every kid found the things he liked and we had some rest...
Day 4 , half a day, Disney Quest - A very good indoor amusement park -
Attraction s we liked the most - CyberSpace Mountain, Pirates of the Caribbean - Battle for Buccaneer Gold (the last one is a real family fun fighting pirates as a team)
Kids safty tips at Disney World
Keep your children safe, it is easy with these tips
1. If a child is very young, or cannot speak English - prepare a card with his picture, name, language spoken and YOUR mobile telephone number. Let him wear it at all times (the best way is to buy a Disney lanyard)
2. When going into the first Disney park you visit, find the nearest Disney staff member and show your child the employee badge, it's a white oval pin with green engraving of the employee's name.
Tell your child that if, by any chance, he cannot find you, he should approach the first person with a similar badge and ask for help - best is to show this person the card you have prepared.
This procedure was actually explained to us by one of the staff members, she also told us that lost child procedure is a well trained skill of the Disney staff. and by the way - Disney staff are extremely nice and helpful, you can always ask...anything!
3. ah, yes, most important - KEEP AN EYE ON YOUR CHILD Disney's parks are usually very very crowded.
Disney World Saving Guide!
For less than 30$ we have saved 310$ (on a 4 days vacation in Orlando)
This very book, which we have bought online for less than 30$ helped us in saving more than 300$ on our vacation not to mention the time and effort that were saved.
Why is this book so good?
This is a tool that cannot be found at any bookstore and no travel agent can replace it, simply because this book was written by Beth Haworth, a former Disney cast member, she knows (and shares) all the important ideas and secrets of Disney vacation .
This very detailed guide shows you where to stay, where to buy best tickets and best packages, where to dine, what are the best places to buy Disney stuff and how to get maximum fun at minimum budget.
Another good news is the fact that you can download this book immediately, even now!
