A Brand New Cartoon Series for Kids by Mediafreaks Cartoon!

Sedo is the top dog of the group and he's a pooch on a mission - his evil arch nemesis Bado and her side kick Rollo have escaped justice through a dimensional doorway into Earth. Unfortunately, the dimensional doorway sucked Sedo and his friends through as well. The stunned pups found themselves falling through the air and landing in a strange new world called Earth. Well, to be exact, they actually landed on Lucy who was on her way home from school before being buried under a pile of whimpering dogs. Sedo and his friends, Guru, Cosmo, Mono, Judo and Floro are marooned on Earth - their only hope of returning home is to catch Bado, and get her to conjure up the dimensional doorway!

The Story

Most kids love dogs, who doesn't? But when Lucy has a group of them literally drop in on her from out of nowhere, her life is about to get turned upside down!

These mutts are no ordinary dogs and they hail from a parallel world called Woof World. It's practically a doggy paradise, a place where dogs talk like you and me, take themselves for walks, a land where fire hydrants are plentiful and bones grow on trees%u2026..and, as Lucy soon discovers, they also have super-cool powers.

Sedo is the top dog of the group and he's a pooch on a mission - his evil arch nemesis Bado and her side kick Rollo have escaped justice through a dimensional doorway into Earth. Unfortunately, the dimensional doorway sucked Sedo and his friends through as well. The stunned pups found themselves falling through the air and landing in a strange new world called Earth%u2026Well, to be exact, they actually landed on Lucy who was on her way home from school before being buried under a pile of whimpering dogs.

Sedo and his friends, Guro, Cosmo, Mono, Judo and Floro are marooned on Earth, their only hope of returning home is to catch Bado, and get her to conjure up the dimensional doorway. But she and Fatso have no intentions of going home and quickly disappear deep into the labyrinth of Westmile City.

Sedo and his friends could be stuck here for quite some time!

Sedo Dog Trailer

This is our third test animation for Sedo Dog, done by our co-production partner Omens Studio. This time round we had improved on the lighting and refined the technique for the facial expressions. The teaser went to MIPCOM and France and received a lot of interest from broadcasters!

Sedo

SEDO is a pooch on a mission: Saving Westmile City from his arch enemy, Bado and, well, saving himself from hunger. With a star-filled hat shaped like a noodle bowl, what else do you expect? Sedo is the pack leader, the typical alpha male take-charge type of dog who's almost a pure-bred hero. He's always in the forefront of any rescue squad although he does have the tendency to boldly lead his team directly into trouble. You see, while Sedo might be brave, he's also not too bright, overly impulsive and very impatient. Yet he has this strange charisma that makes Floro adore him and the other pooches follow his lead. Luckily, there's Lucy to keep him and his friends on the right track. Sedo's special powers come from his magical treasure bowl hat that conjures all kinds of useful stuff, and he also has the ability to teleport over short distances, useful if you need to make a speedy getaway, or just happen to find yourself in the clutches of your evil arch enemy. Sedo also has one extra special power that the other characters don't have, and this power comes not from his hat, but from a magical tuft of hair growing from his head that grants him instant good luck, just when he needs it most.

Cosmo

COSMO is the eldest among the pups. So whenever Sedo messes up as the pack leader, Cosmo's naturally drawn to taking on a few paw steps forward to lead the gang. Cosmo's magical hat gives him a rather unique ability to morph into any object he can think of, be it a chair, a fire hydrant or even a piece of clothing, perfect for camouflaging and spying on unsuspecting bad guys like Bado and Rollo. It also helps him keep one step ahead of Lucy's devious cat Aha, whose rotten schemes are meant to get him and his friends into trouble. His usual smug expression and booming theatrical voice give away his rogue personality which often proves to be only fur-deep for Cosmo's got quite a number of interests and beliefs which are in contrast to his roguish appearance. He can be pretty superstitious at times and incredibly weary of bad omens. Cosmo, above anything else, loves cooking, and if he's not cooking up a regular tasty meal, he's probably experimenting on a new recipe-whatever it's made of.

Guro

GURO may not be the most exciting person to talk to in the world, but don't let his serene trance-like state fool you, he's probably just asleep in mid-air! His blank eyes are a perfect cover-up for his profound wisdom that balances Sedo's usual recklessness. Usually, Guro speaks in a monotone and hardly shows any signs of emotions. Guro's magic turban allows him to communicate telepathically to everyone. He can also levitate himself, as well as move objects with his mind. Sadly, he has a short attention span, and can get easily distracted, especially if someone throws a ball or a stick, causing whatever he's moving through the air to crash to the floor- sometimes including himself. You see, Guro loves playing fetch, and while naturally most dogs enjoy chasing and fetching stuff, Guro gets too enthusiastic and over excited, sometimes scarily so.

Mono

MONO is probably the friendliest, most lovable little puppy you'll ever meet. With big round eyes and a sweet babyish voice, it'll be nothing but "Awwwww%u2026" from anybody. And hey, this cute little puppy comes with a box! Well, actually, his oversized hat resembles a box which gives him the power to change his size at will. He can shrink into the size of an ant or grow into the size of a giant in which he changes into Maxo. Maxo is the bigger, much stronger yet a not-so-smart version of Mono. Everyone likes little Mono and even huge Maxo. However Mono has a deep dark chocolaty secret known only to him and the gang. If he gets even a single bite of chocolate, he'll turn into Mad Maxo, a super powerful, super clever and super bad Maxo who loathes Sedo to the bones. Unfortunately, he's addicted to the stuff. Anyway, off from the choco sweets, Mono is perfectly harmless, big or small. He just spends the day glued on TV waiting for his favourite show, Mighty Mutt.

Sedo Dog | The Race

This is our first test animation for Sedo Dog - our new cartoon animated series about a bunch of pooches blessed (or cursed) with super powers. We originally tried this out using a toon shader in our 3D software. We liked the look but found the facial expressions to be rather limiting. So this became Version 1 of our Sedo Dog tests.

Judo

JUDO is the youngest in the group. He prefers, however, to put on a tough and cool exterior to shroud the fact that he's the youngest. He also happens to be Sedo's annoying younger brother who is pretty jealous of Sedo's abilities and natural luck that usually gets him in the heroic spotlight. To add on to his frustration, he's the only pup that doesn't have special powers because his hat has not been blessed by the Magic Hatter yet. Judo, like his brother, is kind-hearted and always willing to help although he is mostly jeopardized by his desire to prove himself to everyone, especially to Floro, whom he has a very obvious crush on. Unfortunately, Floro is unaware of this even when faced with Judo's cheesiest antics to get her attention. To make up for his short comings in the magical powers department, Judo focused on learning Martial Arts. Still, although he's keen, he is incredibly clumsy and has no real Martial Arts skills whatsoever, and usually does more damage to himself in the end.

Floro

FLORO is a babe (at least in the doggy sense) with her long curled lashes, sparkling doh eyes and pink glossy fur. And boy, does she know it. It's probably her greatest power, even more useful to her than her Magic Hat abilities. She can virtually manipulate any male dog to do anything for her with just a quick flutter of her eyelashes and a sassy wag of her tail. The only one that seems immune to her charms is Sedo and that really irritates Floro, because he's the one she really has the hots for. But Floro is not all baby pink and plain sweet dandy for when the going gets tough, this tough cookie definitely gets going. Her magic hat can control the weather either by will, or by the mood she's in. This can be a both a blessing and a curse for her friends. Try spending an evening in the basement with a bad tempered Floro and you could find yourself in the middle of an indoor thunderstorm!

Lucy

LUCY is a ten year old, bright, brave, curious and full of ideas%u2026 human ideas which, of course, aren't always the way things are done back in Woofworld. So, she's Sedo and his friends' unofficial guide to human world survival. Lucy is addicted to boy band, Teenlife, and is madly in puppy-love with lead singer, Tommy Hawk. She can also get into quite a strop if things don't go her way, which happens quite often. Once, she missed almost half of Teenlife's interview because Mono won't switch channels since Mighty Mutt's on. That night, while the pups were asleep, she hid the remote control inside the washing machine. That's just one of those stories. Anyway, she's also an avid fan of cheesy soap operas and her right hand seems to be surgically attached to her mobile phone. A girl's got to keep up with all her friends' gossips, somehow! Although, there's one piece of cool gossip she can't share with her friends- that she's got a group of super powered, inter-dimensional talking puppies, living in her basement!

Sedo Dog | Baseball Practice

This was a version 2 test for Sedo Dog. This time round Sedo is having some baseball fun with his buddy Cosmo when they run into Bado and Rollo. We liked the 3D look but we didn't really like the way the characters had limitations in their facial expressions.

Bado

BADO comes from a long line of evil and powerful witches and Bado's the baddest of them all! Her sheer wickedness is something she takes particular pride in. She loves to craft evil plans and give out evil uninterrupted resonating laughs. Now she's found herself on this new world, a world ripe for the taking. She has just one tiny problem standing in her way: her arch rival, the idiotic and overly lucky Sedo and that bunch of clowns he calls friends. But with her powerful witch's hat and the help of her henchdog, Rollo, nothing can stop her from trying to take over Westmile City. Oh, Bado really couldn't be anything else but bad with a name like that%u2026 but is she really?

Rollo

ROLLO is Bado's partner in crime and her longest and only friend. He's actually a little smaller in size than Bado and he's very, very dumb which makes it much lesser trouble for Bado to boss him around. Rollo is naturally kind hearted but he's so dumb that he doesn't even know what good or bad is. He's just plainly happy with everything he does for Bado whether it be a success or not-if he knows the difference. Rollo has a half basketball for a hat, which can magically make him inflate into a huge round bouncy ball, enabling him roll or bounce his way into and out of trouble.

Aha

AHA, unlike the dogs, can only say one thing: Aha! Thus, the name. He was Lucy's favorite pet until the new arrivals, six cute talking puppies, turned up from nowhere. Now Aha is a cute and cuddly bundle of seething hatred and jealousy. This is one pussycat that hates Lucy's new house guests with every fluffy fibre of his body. Don't underestimate Aha. He's a criminal genius hell bent on getting rid of the pups, one way or another! When Aha is not busy playing catch, toss and eat with Cyril, Lucy's hamster, Aha can be found plotting and scheming ingenious and elaborate ways to get rid of Sedo and the gang, once and for all.

Some Stories in the Sedo Dog Cartoon Series

Welcome to Earth, and wipe your feet
Bado's on the loose again causing havoc in Woof World, she's gone too far this time and the council of Pooches decide to arrest her, lock her up and throw away the key. Preferably somewhere were she can't find it this time, probably in the river and tide to a brick. While Woof World's finest officer's search in all the wrong places for Bado and her friend Fatso, six amateur sleuths, led by Sedo, stumble upon them in Bado's hideout, the last place the law would have thought to search. However, Bado is in the middle of her biggest and Baddest spell yet, she's conjuring up an escape route that nobody will be able to follow her through. Bado rips open a dimensional doorway and all the pups are sucked through.

Spooky
Hodo's working on a magic formula that will take them all home, but it goes a little wrong, and he accidentally turns the whole building into a haunted house. What's worse is that the spell is starting to spread over to the nearby buildings, terrifying the entire neighbourhood. Sedo discovers that the only way to reverse the magic before it becomes permanent is to find a Black Cat. For the first time ever, the pups actually want to find Aha, but Aha is missing within the creepy building, presumed lost and terrified. Sedo leads his friends on a quest to rescue Aha before the cowardly cat turns white with fear.

Super Lucy
"Wouldn't it be cool to have super powers like the pups" says Lucy as she strokes Aha, mesmerised by the sight of Guru levitating, and Sedo attempting to pull an elephant out of his hat. Well, she's about to get the surprise of her life as an accident with a Floro's wishing bowl and a Luna Eclipse transfers all the puppies powers over too Lucy. For 24 hours she gets to live out her fantasy of being a superhero, and rushes around foiling crimes and saving lives. Lucy discovers that being a superhero isn't all that great, long hours, silly clothes and very little thanks. Meanwhile Sedo and the rest of the pups discover what it's like to be ordinary everyday dogs%u2026%u2026they're bored, very bored!

Shrunk in the Wash
Did you ever get that sinking feeling, well Sedo and his friends are about to get that Shrinking feeling. Dr Hector Von Vector, mild mannered but sneaky vet by day, crazed Werewolf inventor by moonlight and a genuine Luna-tic, has created a diabolical shrinking machine with the help of Bado, and blasts the city with it. Before long the whole of Westmile City is sitting on top of Bado's coffee table within her secret lair. Our newly miniaturise hero Sedo, and his equally shortened friends have to find a way to stop the hairy-brained inventor before he and Bado shrinks the entire population of Earth.

Cooking up a Storm
Bado's kidnapped Floro, and is using her Magical hat to create the biggest storm Westmile City has ever seen, there's even a rumour that there's going to be a tidal wave. But it's just an elaborate hoax to evacuate the city, so that Bado and Fatso can rob the empty city with no opposition. However, Bado didn't count on Sedo and his friends staying behind to find Floro, or that Floro herself is so angry at Bado, that her bad mood has caused a genuine tidal wave to head on a collision coarse with the city, and nobody's brought a towel.
