The essence of the Sedona Method is simplicity.
In fact, most people find it just too simple at first. Our minds don't believe that the three questions that the Sedona method asks (over and over and over and over again!) actually work.
They do work.
Brilliantly, in fact.
Once you let go and get your conscious mind out of the equation.
Of course, that's often easier said than done. We'll talk about the 3 Sedona questions a bit later but for the minute, let's have a look at some of the claims:

The Sedona Method really is deceptively simple.

The book's core observation is that we allow emotions based on old memories to block our minds and bodies from experiencing what is possible now. Many self-help authors make the same point.
What makes The Sedona Method different from the others is the proposed method for eliminating those emotions. I have learned many other techniques for changing memories (such as the Tony Robbins Swish pattern) and use meditation to withdraw from emotions. I have found that meditation has worked best for me in the past. While meditating, my head is pleasantly vibrating and I feel at mental peace. With The Sedona Method teachings, I find that my whole body shudders pleasantly into relaxation and peace. In other words, this process causes me to enjoy a greater release from old memories and emotions than I had thought possible. It's a wonderful gift.
I've already mentioned goal setting earlier. The Sedona Method is very powerful for this - you release on each thing that is getting in the way of you reaching your goal. You'll be absolutely amazed at some of the seemingly insignificant things that crop up with this. The Sedona Method is a self-help technique developed by the late engineer/physicist/businessman Lester Levenson after a serious heart attack nearly ended his life. Lester regained his health and attributed his renewed positive outlook to a process of self-inquiry of one's beliefs and related emotions.
The process is designed to examine any emotion that one is experiencing and then "let it go" or release it in the moment. The basic premise is that all emotions naturally come and go out of experience unless one resists them. The idea is supported in the writings of Carl Jung who noted, "What we resist persists."
Hale Dwoskin, President of Sedona Training Associates, has appeared in The Secret and is the primary teacher and facilitator of the Sedona Method. Hale learned the Sedona Method from Lester Levenson beginning in 1976 and worked closely with Lester until Lester's death in 1994.
The process is taught as a practical technique that is related to a similar process called the Release Technique, which is taught by another former student of Lester Levenson's, Larry Crane.
