Seedplanter's Zazzle Gallery Showcase

Ranked #10,936 in Arts & Design, #199,592 overall

Welcome to my Zazzle Showcase

Squidoo and Zazzle go together like strawberries and Cool Whip. Tacos and salsa. Chocolate and anything.

My Zazzle store is a collection of products inspired by nature. Each begins with an original photo I've taken with my Canon EOS 5D SLR and a selection of great lenses. I've also created products with digital art, including some of my geometric fractals.

If you've never thought about creating your own gallery at Zazzle, now's the time. I hope you'll enjoy the mini tour of some of my Zazzle products below.

The artist's world is limitless. It can be found anywhere, far from where he lives or a few feet away. It is always on his doorstep. - Paul Strand

Why Zazzle?

I discovered Zazzle a few years ago. It looked like a good place to market art beyond the usual art prints. I could also take advantage of free tools that present my work in different gift formats: customizable greeting cards, mugs, hats, aprons, t-shirts, tote bags and so much more.

Zazzle is easy.
Zazzle is free.
Zazzle offers categories you might not have thought of before.
Zazzle pays on time.
Zazzle doesn't have any hidden costs or rules.

It's laid out clearly and doesn't require a linguistics degree to understand.

Try it for thirty days and I bet you'll never want to leave.

How Will They Find You?

Inroads to Zazzle

Once you begin an online venture such as Zazzle, it's not enough to just upload items and let them roost. How will anyone fine your store unless you inform them? And how do you go about informing them without sounding like a crazed person on a bullhorn?

Begin with social media--networking sites like those listed below. Do a little Google digging on your own, and I'm sure you'll add plenty more to the list.
Facebook
Facebook is free and available for a simple registration. Use it wisely and it could be one of the best promo tools you'll ever find.
Redgage
Publicize your art listings while earning money.
Twitter
Unless you've lived under a rock, you'll know that Twitter is an amazing broadcast tool.

Run your own promo show via a free blog at blogspot.
Wordpress blogs - free and easy
Another great blog site where you can dress it up or down. Free promo for the cost of updating regularly.

NEWSFLASH! Today's Best Award (TBA)

The photomontage that won...

I've lived 61 years, and TBA always stood for "To be announced...." In Zazzlespeak, though, it means that a product from my Zazzle gallery has been selected for a special honor.

It was encouraging to hear, because I had uploaded a new batch of photomontages just the night before. This is my TBA image, available for print in a variety of sizes and paper or canvas types. I love that Zazzle is fully customizable by buyers. That's a big plus.

I appreciate how Zazzle adds an automatic zoom feature to product listings, too. Run your mouse over an image and it zooms out at you, so you can have a better look. Go ahead, try it.

Four Favorite Zazzle Shops

One of the fun things about listing art at various online venues is the people I meet. Artists in general are just the nicest, most helpful bunch--and contrary to what you might think, we aren't at all competitive, at least not in the cutthroat sense. Artists answer questions and help newcomers lesson the learning curve. That's definitely the case at Zazzle.

I love these shops not only because they're helpful Zazzlers, but because their art is amazing. Take a look and see if you don't agree.

My favorite fruit!

When I was growing up, my uncle used to send us a nice big crate of Golden Delicious apples every year from his apple-growing business in Washington state. It makes perfect sense to me to use apples in my product designs at Zazzle. Whaddayathink?

Fine Art Prints

Three favorites @Zazzle

A picture isn't always what it starts out to be. The middle image below is one of my favorite fine art prints, because I know the story behind it. We were driving along the Oregon coast and decided to stop around sunset. A gorgeous play of light danced across the waves, and I took several photos. I rotated and then manipulated the photo in Photoshop CS3. This golden art piece reminds me of the golden light and a fun day spent at one of my favorite spots, Heceta Head. If you look closely, the foamy waves are still a part of the image, but in a different format.
