Seether is a alternative metal band from South Africa, they were originally named Saron Gas before changing their name in 2002 to avoid confusion with Sarin Gas (a lethal gas manufactured by the German Army in in World War II). The band re-recorded the song "Broken" with ballad Amy Lee of Evanescence and was featured on the soundtrack for the 2004 blockbuster movie "The Punisher". The single was massively successful and helped bring the band fame throughout North America and the UK.
Current band members include: Shaun Morgan - lead vocals, lead and rhythm guitar (2000 - present), Dale Stewart - bass, backing vocals (2000 - present[verification needed]) and John Humphrey - drums (2004 - present).
