How to Select the Right Booth Display Package

Trade shows and expos can be stressful events to prepare for as an exhibitor. This situation is made even worse if it's your first time putting together a booth display. You are ahead of the game if you have an idea of where you want to end up, but you still aren't quite sure where to start. This lens is intended to make that task a little easier, offering guidance on the factors you should consider, which factors should be weighted more heavily, and some things for which to prepare. Remember: the situation isn't hopeless. There are people out there who can help you, but they can only do so once you have decided upon your needs and wants.

Know Your Booth Space

It's tough to make a solid recommendation for your display if you don't know the size of the booth(s) you will be given. Get as much information as possible before you go display shopping to avoid uncertainty or, even worse, a waste of time. If you spend a couple of days weighing the features and costs of a 20' display when your booth is only a 10', you won't have anyone to blame but yourself. Think about future shows and possiblities for using the display between events as a static presentation in a lobby or showroom of your own. Also, realize that many displays (a pop-up booth display, for example) are modular, meaning they can be used alone or in coordination with other displays to create one large booth display.

Have knowledge of your booth space beforehand also enables you to know your needs regarding table cloths, brochure display stands, lighting, and power sources to name a few. Perhaps you will have a little extra space for a banner display or two. Will you have space for a table and chairs?

Know Your Display Needs

Once you have an idea of what type of display you will be working on, you can take the features of that display into consideration when putting together the display concept. The amount of pictures and other graphics you will be able to display will be apparent, and you can figure out how to balance images and written information. There are countless ways to create a display design, so don't limit yourself. If you have a chance, head to a show and get some ideas from the booth displays you see there. If you foresee needing to focus on different points from show to show, look for a display that offers interchangeable or partially interchangeable graphics. This is a great way to save money and capitalize on a display's versatility.

Versatile Displays Mean You are Prepared for Anything

As an example of versatility, portablity, modular design, and value, this display can't be beat. What is three displays here (2 tower displays and 1 10' booth display) can also be used together to create one 20' popup booth display.
