The Power of Self Belief
How to Develop the Power of Self Belief
It's very easy to say 'Believe you can succeed and you will' and 'You can if you think you can'. And there are numerous 'rags to riches' stories that have at their heart the importance of self belief. But is this something that can be developed? Here are three techniques that will help you to strengthen your own power of self-belief.
1. Remind yourself on a regular basis that you are better than you think you are. Success does not require a super intellect. It's not based on luck. At the end of each day go over in your mind your successes for that day. Have a note book handy so you can keep a log of your successes, even the small ones. Build up a log of the major achievements you have had throughout your life. Refer to it on a regular basis and never admit your doubts. You are nothing other than first class.
2. Set the bar high. Think big. They say to be careful what you wish for, because you might get it. So if you think little goals, expect little achievements. Think big goals and expect big successes.
3. Focus on success, not failure. Thinking success opens up your mind to create plans that produce success and makes you more receptive to outside influences and stimuli that help success to come about. When you see an opportunity - think you can, not that you can't. Thinking failure will condition your mind to think thoughts that produce failure.
