Why Carry Self Defense Weapons?

Ever since I started selling pepper spray and stun guns, people have been asking me why they should buy personal protection products, or why they would need a hidden camera, or a surveillance system.

This answer is deceptively simple.

Because it's the right thing to do.

Your first priority is to know how to protect yourself, and your second priority is to teach that skill to every member of your family. You don't have to be a gym gorilla or an NFL lineman to do the job. In fact, those guys would only win a small percentage of battles with street thugs.

It's just like poker in a way. You never, ever, want to show your hand unless it's absolutely necessary.

Crime is an Unfortunate Reality Everywhere!

Big cities, small towns, high income, low income, even rural communities. Meth labs are hidden in rolling hills of small town areas - soon meth addicts are breaking into homes and hijacking cars where violent crime were virtually unheard of only a year ago.

RAPES... In 2006, there were an estimated 92,455 forcible rapes reported to law enforcement. The highest percentage of rape is in the Northeast. July is typically when the greatest number of rapes occur.

ROBBERIES... Nationwide in 2006, there were an estimated 447,403 robbery offenses. The highest percentage of these were in the South. 44.5% of the robberies occurred on the streets, 14.3% occurred in homes.

ASSAULT... Nationwide, there were an estimated 860,853 aggravated assaults during 2006. Firearms were used for 18.1% of the assaults, knives or cutting instruments 15.8%, other weapons (clubs, blunt objects, etc.) 29% and personal weapons (hands, fists, feet, etc.) accounted for 20.1% of the assaults.

CAR JACKINGS... There are around 38,000 car jackings each year. Approximately 75% of the victims faced a weapon. About 63% of carjacking incidents occurred within 5 miles of the victim's home, including 17% that occurred at or near the home... sometimes in their own driveway. Only 4% occurred more than 50 miles from the victim's home.

Emergencies can occur anywhere, and preparedness matters

Think of Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans. Think of the flooding and tornadoes in the Midwest. Think of the wildfires in California. God forbid you are ever caught there as a homeowner, worker or tourist. But if you were thrown out on to the street to fend for yourself and protect your family, you'd be much better off equipped with a Taser, stun gun or at least MACE Keychain Pepper Spray in your pocket

Most people are "under-protected" and admit that "they ought to do something about it..."

Well, do something about it. Get yourself a Stun Gun Emergency Flashlight to keep in your truck or car. Most families probably need two. Small businesses such as trucking companies or security services might might need twenty... If they are not provided by your employer, ask or provide your own. Don't wait until it is too late.

Key chain pepper spray should be a staple item carried by every woman and every teen age girl... The Child Protection Kit are a must for homes with toddlers... Every homeowner needs safes to hide valuables. Hidden safes that look like cans of soda, beer or soup... even a simple, complete, Home Security System would benefit any homeowner or apartment dweller. Do you have yours?

The long haul truck driver, delivery van driver or traveling salesman: they need a security product for their car, a portable door alarm for their hotel or motel room door. Parents need nanny-spy-cams and voice intercom systems.

Guard Alaska Bear Repellant Spray should be on the packing list for every camper, hiker or hunters.... The NapZapper, an over-the-ear alarm that awakens a drowsy driver should be ready to be worn in any car or truck driving later at night. Don't make excuses for not being prepared, Be Prepared.

Is there a day that crime isn't in the news?

Child abductions, rapes, robberies, assaults, car-jackings, break-ins and home invasions are headlines every day. Everyone can use a slight edge. Shouldn't you be protected?

It would be nice to believe that nothing will happen to you, but the reality of it is that an ounce of protection could be worth more than a pound of cure. What is Worth Protection to you? Your belongings? Your family? Your personal well-being?

Conclusion

If you were carrying a mini stun stun gun, like The Runt stun gun, or the Hot Shot Stun Gun, you can take down a big creep in seconds, probably before he even realized what hit him. You see, you can hide, or palm one of these tools in your hand, and no one would even notice.

You can wear them on your belt, and everyone will assume it's a pager, or phone. I've been wearing The Runt Stun Gun since it came in the door, and no one has ever asked me what it was because they have already made an assumption about what it is. That's a big advantage in a bad situation.

The same rules apply to pepper spray, and especially to the new pistol gripped Wildfire pepper sprays. For people in cash businesses, you treat it like it's a cleaning product. You set a bottle of Windex and some other generic cleaner in plain site, along with the Wildfire Pepper Spray. The Wildfire is a cleaner; it will clean a gaggle of creeps, and have them red faced and ready for the meat wagon the police bring.

Personal protection is important, and if you have kids going off to college they need tools badly. Each and every year kids disappear days after starting college. If those kids had been taught to carry and use simple tools they would still be here today.

I think that if some of those kids at Virginia Tech had been carrying a pepper spray keychain, that mentally deranged freak that shot them might be in jail awaiting execution, and there might not be any dead. I could be wrong here, but the point is that nobody was prepared.

And I'm thinking, how many will be prepared this year?

How many parents will send their kids off into the world this fall without a clue as to how to defend themselves?

You can bet that didn't happen 200 years ago.

Somebody once said you can never be too rich or too thin.

I say you can never have too many personal protection tools.

Being rich and thin certainly won't save your life.

And saying you woulda purchased them, shoulda purchased them, or coulda purchased them won't cut it.

If you're prepared, you won't be surprised.

Pepper Spray, Stun Guns, and Tasers... Oh My!
