Why Self-Esteem?

A lot of people hide their lights because of their low-self esteem. They picture themselves as not good enough, good-for-nothing individuals, or simply not as good as the other human species.

When I was teaching, I realized that the greatest problem of many students is not low IQ, nor memory gap when they cannot express themselves in the classroom. The culprit was low self-esteem.

I firmly believe that we are the light of the world (as stressed in Matthew 5 of the Bible), and many of us don't know, or can't believe this. We are all first-class creatures! This lense focus on helping those who have wrong pictures of themselves to see their true and beautiful selves.

Tips on Raising Your Self-Esteem

You can also find this in my blog.

Here are some things you can do to raise your self-esteem:

Instead of blaming others, take responsibility for being happy, achieving your goals, enjoying your life.

Instead of focusing on your faults, think positive thoughts and feelings that build your confidence and make you feel good, competent and self-sufficient.

Instead of hanging out with losers, associate with people who have high self-esteem and who make feel good about yourself.

Instead of sitting at home, participate in activities you enjoy.

Instead of being critical to yourself and others, look for something likeable in yourself and in everyone you know and meet.

Instead of trying to change others, focus on being the person you want to be.

Instead of living in the future or in the past, live in the present.

Instead of saying "I can't do this" or " I don't know anything about this", read, attend seminars, learn from others-do whatever you can to develop your talents and skills.

Instead of focusing on your failures, acknowledge and celebrate your achievements and successes!

Instead of overeating, overdrinking, under-exercising, take charge of yourself-you deserve it!

Instead of saying "Oh, its nothing really', accept another's compliments-say "Thank you!" and enjoy praise without embarrassment.
