There are a lot of stories about self hypnotherapy but this one really stuck in my mind. Its about a young boy 6 years old and how he was able to use self hypnotherapy and visualization.
The doctors had found a very large brain tumor (baseball sized) and he was given only 6 months to live. During self-hypnosis the young boy visualized another universe within his mind. Here in this universe he was Luke Skywalker and he would do battle with this hostile planet, the brain tumor.
Every night before bed he would imagine himself as Luke Skywalker doing battle with this planet. He would drop bombs on it, shoot it with his laser gun and piece by piece he would destroy the planet and it became smaller and smaller.
One night about 6 months later he finished destroying the last little piece of this hostile planet and told his parents that the tumor was gone. The next day they took him back to the doctor where they did tests and x-rays and were amazed to find the tumor had vanished.

Simple Induction Script for self hypnotherapy
Think about what area or problem you want to work on and write out what you want to change. Be very clear and exact about what you want to accomplice. Like I will not get the urge to smoke as often. I will crave healthier foods like vegetables and fruits instead of chocolate cake or ice cream. These will be your suggestions.
Find the time and the place where you can have about 30 minutes without being disturbed. Get comfortable, relax and imagine there's this glowing white light that's around your head. And it begins to move ever so slowly down around you and as it passes over every inch you begin to relax even more deeply everywhere the light travels.
Your whole head is relaxed your jaw your mouth. Now as it moves over your neck and shoulders they become very relaxed, down over your chest your stomach, very relaxed. Your back, hips and it moves on down over your thighs, knees, calves, ankles, feet and toes all very relaxed.
All cares are flowing out of your mind and if a thought does enter you just gently brush it aside and continue to relax. Deeper and deeper all the tension is flowing out of your body and mind. Your feeling drowsy but you will not go to sleep. All cares are flowing out of your mind and you can only think about relaxing even more.
Now you can start counting down from 20 or 10 or 100 what ever works for you. But just count down slowly. 10 9 8 your drifting off deeper with each count. 7 6 5 your breathing slowly and becoming even more relaxed. 4 3 2 your gently floating deeper and deeper. 1 0
Now you can start your suggestions. State them clearly to your self not aloud. And tell yourself that all the suggestions you have given are right for you and that you will follow them because they are good for you.
Also tell yourself that every time you practice self hypnosis you will become better at it, you will be able to do it quicker deeper and become more relaxed every time you do it.
Always be sure to bring your self back out slowly. Start counting upwards. 3 I'm starting to wake up. 2 I'm becoming alert. 1 I'm now awake.
This is a very simple version of a self hypnotherapy Induction Script. And the more you practice the better you will become.

Here is another self hypnosis script for you to try, this one is my favorite. As always you need a quiet place with a little free time. And get comfortable you can either sit or lay down whatever suites you best. As always when your going to practice self hypnotherapy you need your have your list of suggestions make up before hand.
Always make one sentence suggestions. Like "I will express myself clearly and easily" or "I will not crave a cigarette" make it and say it so it appears that it has already happened.

And then just imagine that your inside this bright golden colored bubble. Inside this bubble your safe. It's your place and you're so very comfortable inside your bubble. You can relax here, just breathing and relaxing. Inside your bubble you can bring things in or put things out. You can put out the stress, anxiety, and fear. Just put them out resting and relaxing even deeper.
And then you can get ready to finish. Thinking of your in breath. You feel yourself getting ready to move. You feel refreshed, energized. You are becoming aware or your surroundings. Take a nice deep breath, stretch open your eyes. Your refreshed and relaxed and ready to carry on with your day.
