    Self Esteem to me is the thing your body that tells you what you feel like when you are around other peolpe.
    Or the thing that holds you back from joining the soccer team... which can also be taken as your self image.
    Self image is how you see your self which defenitly effects how you see others.
    Self esteem is something that helps you fright against bullying.

    Everyone has a SELF-IMAGE (some people call it a self-concept or a self-identity). This is a mental construction of ours that represents who we currently think we are. It's either self-created or something we've allowed others to create for us... which we've then accepted.

    Our SELF-ESTEEM is simply the sum total of our feelings about our self-created self-image.

    The message is this: if we want to grow our self-esteem, we first have to understand the limiting parts of our self-image and then let them go of them through the practice of self-mastery.

    People totally ignored me or abused me, because I never had the nerve to say no. I was letting anyone walk over me without objecting, too shy to confront them and too afraid of being judged.

    Then a friend of mine gave me a book about Self Esteem Affirmations. I wasn't too excited about it, but thought I had nothing to lose anyway. So I read it. Soon the book had all my attention. I found out that I wasn't the only one with this problem.

I would suggest some tips to help you to maintain a positive attitude.

1. Others Behavior: Since you cannot control other's people negative behaviors or change them, just be away from them. Don't isolate from people who have a negative attitude. Manage your time with the right people.

Instead of spending let's say ½ hour with negative, gossipers and whiners, spend just 5 minutes with them. Don't get hook in their negative thoughts just listen to them.Then, look for people that are positive and spend with them an hour. Their company will empower you . Listen and learn from them.

2. Always maintain a positive attitude toward a negative work environment: Try to do the best you can, don't overdue and then blame others because they won't help you. Instead of competing with others, try to be creative and be better than you were before. But always remember to take care of yourself. Skipping lunch, breaks , overwork and so on is unhealthy for you. Its about being positive toward you and the way you balance your life.

3. Past Failures: Let go of the past. The past is gone; there is nothing you can do about past situations. Instead, if you made a mistake or you think that you failed, learn the lesson and move on.find your path to postive states of mind

  • Look for a model (someone who has self confidence) and learn from them. What is it they do that makes them confident, how do they act?
  • Focus on your achievements rather than your failures. If you do find yourself thinking about how you failed then look at what you managed to do right and how you could correct what you did next time.
  • Learn how to feel good about yourself
  • Act as if you were self confident! You will feel more confident.
  • Focus on who you are and what you like about yourself. Why do your friends like you?
  • Prepare thoroughly for any task so that you can be sure you are ready.
  • Work on any skills you need to do what you want, you can never be overtrained or over skilled for any challenge in life.
  • Work on your relaxation skills
  • Always smile and stand up straight
  • Set reachable goals for yourself and break difficult tasks into smaller steps
  • Reward yourself when you succeed no matter how small the achievement
  • Finally, I advise you not to be too competitive or compare yourself with others. Be yourself and accept that life is not a race against others but your self confidence depends on you and your personal needs.
