Low Self-Esteem Is Detrimental to Your Health

While it can be perfectly normal to feel sorry for yourself once in awhile, it's when this begins to cause you to have low self-esteem that it becomes a major problem in your life. Low self esteem

can cause a chain reaction
that can affect your career, personal relationships and ultimately - your health.

Luckily, your self esteem is an issue that can be controlled!

When a person's self esteem is not good, roadblocks will start to occur in their personal life, their career and many other areas. This will make them feel inadequate and unworthy.

These inadequacies then will begin to invade your personal relationships and seem to spread like a disease until treated. You start to feel inadequate as a person and you'll no longer keep your relationships with friends, family and lovers going.

Without those relationships, self-esteem will be a thing of the past. You'll no longer see yourself as a worthy participant in life and you'll no longer care about your body.

Your body won't receive the essentials it needs to keep being strong, and illnesses and other ailments start to occur. Your health suffers and goes downhill from there.

Depression sets in and then one by one other illness will take hold of your body, which will leave no strength to fight anything off. Low self-esteem can be overcome if you can nip it in the bud right away, instead of waiting until it takes over your very soul.

Don't let your self esteem get low - take the initial steps to increasing your self-esteem. Take a good look round my lens where I hope you will find inspiration and guidance on various areas of self-help, including raising your self esteem.

Remember this is one area that can be controlled by YOU.  So grasp this opportunity and take control of your self-esteem

Using Motivation to Achieve Success

Give Yourself A Healthy Dose of Motivation

Achieving success is extra hard without a good helping of motivation. Without any motivation you would not really have any reason to succeed. Put simply high motivation - high success!

Many different types of motivation exist, for instance: money and the things that you can buy with money, bettering yourself, for recognition, or for social status. These, plus others are forms of motivation can be put into two groups - internal and external.

The least rewarding of these two forms of motivation is external. This is because your only motivation to succeed is based on outside influences, for instance trying to follow the path of success that perhaps your parents have set for you. You need to be motivated for yourself and your own reasons.

Internal motivation however comes from your personal desire and belief, and is therefore much more likely to lead to success.

Increasing Self-Esteem by Setting Goals for Your Life

Low self-esteem can be caused by not having enough focus in your life. Having thoughts of no future or nothing to reach for in your life, will make your self-esteem plummet.

Getting something to focus on will keep your self-esteem strong.

Setting goals in your life is the best way to increase self-esteem. Goals give you something to look forward to and to reach for while giving you a sense of purpose as you strive for success in life.

Goal setting gives you much satisfaction as you reach your ultimate goals by first achieving baby steps along the way. Decide where you want to see your life go to, whether it's in regards to a career or just some personal gain you want out of life.

Plan little steps along the way to that goal so that they're realistic to you as you drive forward to ultimate satisfaction. Meeting each little step as you go along gives you a sense of pride and the drive necessary to keep going.

Don't set your goals without steps to get there! It may make you feel overwhelmed and you won't detect true satisfaction until the end goal is reached. By setting small goals, you get to celebrate each achievement, regardless of how small it may seem in the grand scheme of things.
