Need To Sell Your Timeshare?

Should you sell your timeshare or hold on to it? It all depends on whether the timeshare is worth the trouble keeping, if for example you are able to rent out your timeshare it could be used as an extra source of income and would well be worth keeping.

Having a timeshare is also worth the cost if you make frequent vacations trips to the area where your timeshare is located but this might not be practical for most folks.

Thinking Of Selling Your Timeshare?

If on the other hand the cost of maintaining your timeshare far outweighs purpose of having it, then it's a good idea to get rid of the timeshare or at least until you can afford to maintain it comfortably.

Selling your timeshare is not as easy as buying, the market tends to be oversaturated, depending on demand and location you should expect to receive a fair value for your timeshare.

I'd make sure that you don't trust anything that sales representatives tell you as they will do anything to make a timeshare sale. Make sure everything is in writing, right down to every last nitty gritty detail. I've been burnt badly by club navigo and don't want others to have a similar experience.

I am the Executive Director of the South Jersey Community Development Corporation. It is a 501c(3) nonprofit organization. We provide assistance to disadvantaged families, children, and elderly individuals. I believe that donating the timeshare to my organization will provide a solution to many people's problem. It does not increase with value, and it is difficult to sell. The Real Estate Housing market is currently going through foreclosures and subprime mortgage meltdowns. People are not buying timeshares. It is better to give it to a charitable organization, and write it off as a tax deduction. We could send out a tax dedection letter to anyone who provides us with a real estate donation, timeshare donation, and monetary gift donations.
