I was on several stock photo sites but once they all decided to allow people to sell my photos on zazzle, I pulled my collection. I didn't want to compete with myself, it's hard enough to make any sales. Fotolia is a little hazy in their agreement. I can't tell if they allow people to buy images and turn them into t-shirts on zazzle or not. Do you know? I guess I'll have to ask them directly.
  • intermarks Apr 26, 2012 @ 2:12 am | delete
No, I never sell my photos before. This is a great idea and I will give it a try.

I have only recently thought about whether I could sell any of my photos. I made my first sale on a monarch butterfly caterpillar photo - just by someone looking at my photos. I wasn't even selling them - this person just loved the photo. I think I'm going to try this out. Thank you for the informative lens.

Lisa... I love, love, love this lens. This is exactly where I am headed with my photography thank you for the great tips. I started making cards for Zazzle then I found Squidoo and have never been back to my shop, is that sad or what? I must get more organized so I can do both:)

Great lens. Good luck in pursuit of Giant Squid status! Two potential ideas for more content:

    1) Add a list of other websites (in addition to Fotalia) where photographers can sell their photos. Some could be additional affiliate partners, and some could be straight links to the other sites in the list. Maybe the Link List module?

    2) Discuss photo contests and how people can enter them. If there are sites where people can enter their photos and there is community voting, then the photographers might get a feel for which photos to use in places like Zazzle.
