What would it take to start an internet business?

Ranked #28,060 in Entertainment, #347,582 overall

Work in progress!

Working all day, in a 9 - 5 job, with the hard work and effort I put in for someone else to reap the benefits, doesn't sit well with me any more. What would it take to spend more time doing the things I enjoy and less of the things that are tedious and time consuming? What would it be like to work when I wanted to work instead of being tied to someone else's desk for 8 hours a day?

There is so much talk about how one can build a business on the internet, there is so much info on the internet about this, but what is the right one for me? Do I have to spend a fortune, trying each 'Get rich quick' internet scheme out before I find the niche that I am looking for?

Hopefully not, with a few ideas and some great websites that I have found, I will generate a business for me, by me, have a lot of fun in the process and generate cash too, which would be a bonus. What else is possible?
