selling your gold for the BEST price SERIOUSLY

Where is the best place to sell gold and get the BEST price

i can teach you a way to get top dollar for gold and silver.... forget all those cash for gold places, they can pay for the commecials because they make sooo much profit off your gold...... selling gold to those places is a HUGE RIP OFF... follow theese simple steps (or sell to me and i promise i will give you a better price). I get mad everytime i see those commercial.... don't be one they rip off from your golds true value

Start small and local

i found that doing a search for a local metal / smelter...... they pay about 94 percent of the "spot gold" price.... this price can most easily be found at kitco.com.....the cash for gold places and ALOT of bigger pawn shops will only pay 60- 70 percent ... for me the closest smelter i knew of was 45 minutes away so instead i found a local pawn shop ( this can be done thru a google search and a few phone calls) and went in LETTING THEM KNOW that i knew the scrap price per gram i could get on ebay was, and what kitco payed, and i told them i had another person paying me a 90 percent per gram price but i had to drive 30 minutes... even if it isn't true..( and i am not a fan of lieing but i feel this is just protecting yourself from being taken advantage of).. you need to tell them you do a high volume of turn over ...... the reason i get the price i do is because of the volume..... long story short ( i will ad more later) the local pawn shop guy now pays me 90 percent spot gold price and i don't mind loosing 4 percent instead of 24 percent....... if this doesn't work for you contact me and i will pay you more than the pawn shops

knowing what you have is the first thing you need to do

gold testing supplies are a must

theese can be found very cheep on ebay. Theese are SIMPLE to use and very useful if you also like going to estate sales, you never know what you could find. The acid and stone test was my favorite ( and least expensive ) way to test. You just rub the metal on the stone in a unseen spot ( it does not hurt the jewlry just removes a little of the metal) put one drop of the acid on the stone....... if it dissappears it is not gold... if it stays it is and move to the next carat level for further testing.

gold is based on gram or penny weight

a gram scale is vital

ebay provides great scales and great prices.... knowing the gram or pennyweight (dwt) will help you figure out what your gold is worth.

Interesting tips. I was never into gold rush, but handled some stock with so-so success when I was younger. I guess you should be at least a little trader by heart to enjoy in this business.
