Step by Step method to start selling books online

Database

Step 1
The very first thing you need to do when setting up a system for selling books on the Internet is getting a database. Now don't get all nervous about this, they are pretty easy to use. The best decision we ever made was to start using a database from day one. Abe has a database that is completely free to use and just about all online book selling sites will accept uploads from it. It's called Homebase. Just go to www.abe.com and scroll down to the bottom of the page. Click on sell books. You'll see a button to download Homebase. Go ahead and install it - you'll see how easy it is to use.

Step2
The next step depends on how you plan on building your business. If you plan on simply selling cheap books on Amazon and not really growing your knowledge base and expertise then this Lens probably isn't really for you. If you hope to learn all that you can about books and book selling then you'll want to do two things. The first is to head over to The Art of Books - www.theartofbooks.com and sign up with them. It will cost you $10.00 a month and they won't sell a single book for you. What? What they will do is help you to create a super efficient selling machine. You enter your books into the database as mentioned in Step 1 then you send the data file to Art of Books AOB and they will proceed to upload your books to all the sites you have signed up for. Head over there and get to know the site. The second thing to do if you plan on being a serious seller is to Bookmark The Bookshop Blog - www.BookshopBlog.com. There is tons of information there for you as well as a forum where you can all sorts of questions and have them politely answered by professionals.

Step 3 will be coming soon. Bookmark us and come back.
