Please visit this link and read a tiny book I've written about Haiti Helpers. It's a story though, but I guess if people share it on, people will donate to Redcross and Google checkout to help the victims at Haiti. http://www.scribd.com/doc/26029281/HipHop-Grasslands

    Michelle, my dear friend,

I would say that this a gesture that is beyond compare, but somehow the word gesture cheapens what I feel in my heart for what you are doing here.

A spectacular display of love for people you have never met or have any connection to. You, my dear,, are a true human!

Smell the smoke of a pseudo burn-out blessing from a downsized Angel?
  • a_willow Jan 30, 2010 @ 3:30 am | delete
You make me smile. :) Thank you for your kind words Alex. ;)
  • Rusty-Quill Jan 29, 2010 @ 9:46 pm | delete
Very well done. It is amazing so many people have created these wonderful designs so quickly - it really makes the world seem much more cozy knowing there really are more people that care and are wiling to give of themselves for others in need.

    Michelle,

Thank you for sharing the works of Zazzle! These are all so beautiful and an awesome display of love, compassion, support and hope for the future of Haiti. Tragedy has an amazing way of creating the worst of circumstances yet brings out the best in compassionate humans.
  • Captain_Logic Jan 29, 2010 @ 5:07 pm | delete
This is an excellent idea! In Montreal, the Haitian community is large. Haitians that I know are literally walking around both heartbroken and heartwarmed due to the wide support of help to their people.

I have also created a lens with all proceeds going to charity.

  • quicpost Jan 29, 2010 @ 4:17 pm | delete
What a kind thing to do for the devastation at Haiti is very big and at Montreal, Canada they the world leaders are meeting to see what else can be done. I saw on tv from former President Bush and President Clinton a .org site to go to to help Haiti. The United Nation, has the hungersite.com to help the world and America too! It is hard when the weather for many different reasons, do what it does to the Earth we live on. Locally, we have the Red Cross to help many in need when disasters strike too---life isn't easy at times and prayers help too. Thank you, for it does the heart good when people do for people what they can if they can.

  • ronpass Jan 29, 2010 @ 1:44 pm | delete
Congrats on LOTD - wonderful concept, creative lens, superb collaboration, great cause - the highpoint of social networking. As I write, I 'm listening now to Bruce Springsteen's "We shall overcome", from the Hope for Haiti Now CD (produced by various artists to donate proceeds to Haiti - available on iTunes). It all makes the world seem smaller and closer, especially in times of inconceivable pain and anguish.
