I am so glad that I found this resource. I am an unschooling Mother, but I feel the same principles apply to that of a Homeschooling parent. These resources will be needed at some point in my daughters learning experience ( and mine too). Thank you.

This is truly a wonderful resource, not only for homeschooling parents and caregivers, but for the rest of us, who sometimes forget to use the grammar and sentence structure that makes our language so rich AND understandable.

Great way to break down a tough subject for kids and adults. Another important rule to remember is not to start a sentence with those helpful conjunctions (and, but) It's so easy to forget that one! Thanks!
  • Margo_Arrowsmith Nov 13, 2010 @ 6:07 am | delete
Lots of adults could use this and it wouldn't hurt anyone, me especially Thanks

Despite writing a regular column in a magazine now for a couple of years, my sentence structure and punctuation are atrocious. Thank God my editor cleans it up but then I never really learn. So I've fav'd this to return as needed. :)

finally, for me at least, something to make sentences make sense, it is a challenge for me to write, but this will certainly help

Just last week an Angel in the forum used one of my lens paragraphs for a lesson like this. For all to read and see. I am still foaming, and almost at the mouth too! haha. My sad story. In the fifth grade my teacher read aloud a book report I wrote in a hurry the night before. It was due the next day. Thank all the Angel blessings, he did not reveal my name, but I will never forget the embarrassment, the racing heart and total weakness I felt in my whole body. The whole report was written in sentences that made perfect laughing material. This lens has become a my biggest Favor It!
Looking back I have just realized one reason to home school. This is the first time I have revealed this story. A schooling wound that is still with me. Ha, and the teacher probably thought he was teaching me a lesson. In subsequent years, though, I did not learn "copywriter's" rules.
Thanks for this Jimmie, so clear a retiree can understand it!
