Boosting your Backlinks
How to get sites to link to your site
So, how can you do it? Here are some ideas...
- Ask every supplier and customer to add a link to you from their corporate website.
- Submit to directories - one way, no recipricol, free if possible, go for niche rather than general.
- Submit to link exchanges - but be very careful.
- Create a really cool gimmick which will have people blogging about you and linking to your site. This may involve appealing to people outside your target market as your true customer may not fit the bloggers profile. However it's links you are looking for so appeal to the people who will give them to you.
- Use social bookmarking sites to link to your site. Squidoo works as one, as does Del.icio.us and countless others.
- Use Link Vault and check out http://www.squidoo.com/link-vault. You have control over which pages build up "vaultage".
- Use the DigitalPoint Coop but be aware that the links are dynamic and must appear on every page.
