SEO Tips: that's all, folks!

So, this tour has come to an end. Now it's time to draw the final conclusions and to fix it all. Besides, at the end of this lens you will find a brief test to verify your preparation. These lenses are going to be a constant "work in progress". In particular they want to answer your questions, so ask and you will get a reply. Do not forget to come back from time to time to see what's new!

Important!

Chapter Three: Last Of All

Now, let's draw some conclusions
traffic lead generation

Drawing conclusions about the things we said, we can develop some key points and transform them into exact "key phrases", in range of SEO terminology.

To create traffic around the lens is the first step

It's not important to get money through your lenses, or to use Squidoo as a SEO tool. In any case, it's important to aim at the traffic generated around your lenses to get results.

The on-page optimization is a necessary (but not sufficient) condition for every strategy

It is "necessary" because optimizing the page means to indicate precisely the covered arguments to the search engines and to make the placing easier. It is "not sufficient" because without a solid link-building strategy and a stimulation of the traffic through forums participation or social-networks sharing, you'll hardly get results.

Your lens layout can make the visitor stop and bring him to share it

Legibility, logical boxes sequence, nice graphic, they all can be decisive for the sharing of your contents, with good effects on ranking.

Squidoo widgets allow several link-building strategies.

Carefully using all the modules you can create "heavy" links towards the pages you want to promove. Obviously, the coincidence of the arguments between your lenses and pages is the main factor to succeed.

In a SEO strategy, the use of social networks becomes fundamental.

Probably, in this point the two strategies clearly split. If you want to earn money with Squidoo, you need that visitors reach your lens. Then, you have to "play carefully" with the advertising boxes, but that's another story. If your interest is focused on SEO for external websites, the game changes. Leading people to share your page or let them connect to your account, it becomes a fundamental strategical factor.

SEO Is Dead. Long Life to the SEO

Periodic table of ranking factors

This lens is mainly focused on the on-page optimization. New Google's politics have created many perplexities in the SEO environment. The question everybody's asking is this: is it still necessary to create an optimizated page? My own answer is "yes". In the big picture, main ranking factors are analized. As it's shown, the weight of "social signs" is prevailing, but the construction of the page still keeps its weight. Furthermore, there's an element to remember: what reads our pages to decide their placing in the SERP is a crawler , a little software that, although created to enhance contents, needs a clear and semantic structure to understand what we're talking about. Of course, there's not anymore room for geeks looking for tricks to place themselves into Google results. SEO isn't dead at all. On the contrary, probably it's becoming a "professionists' game". In the next lenses I'll analitically face this table, widening the horizon from the on-page optimization to SEO strategies in their complex.

Remember

Optimization is relevant, but CONTENT IS KING

Time for questions

Let's see if you have memorized the main strategies and concepts. Ten questions to see if you're a skilled SEO or if you need to study a bit more. Good luck!
