Marketing Yourself And Being Found

The love of creating drives a person to become an artist. Soon art transforms the person. You see with an artist's eyes. Your art drives you. It's all about the passion.

Like other such pursuits, the self-representing artist soon faces the reality--in order to succeed as an artist, your passion must follow you out of the studio to your marketing strategy. Here are some tips for making the most of your online presence and helping you to succeed as an artist.

Remember...

To travel hopefully is a better thing than to arrive, and the true success is to labour.

Each Path

Each path to success is different. Your path will be one created by you, spiced with the ingredients of your choice, filled with the hope and courage you give it.

As an artist, your path is to bring your art to the masses. Never let go of your dream. You are an artist. Your art is for the world to enjoy.

Success comes knowing yourself, your abilities as well as your struggles. Anticipate all. You are an artist. You will succeed.

What You Should Be Doing Every Day

Every day, strive to do two things. Do something to bring your more business through marketing. Do something to make you money.
  • Blog. Keep your blog current.
  • Read blogs in your niche and outside of it. Comment and be a part of the community.
  • Keep your Squidoo lens fresh and up to date. No one likes a stale lens.
  • Support other artists through comments on forums or other sites.
  • Weekly at the very least, back up your website, your blog, your art images. This is your treasure. Keep it safe.
