You wanna bet in Vegas on that subtitle? I doubt it. If you honestly thought about all the page titles you've seen and how keyword rich they are. Then you might want to re-think your own.

A page title is the first thing that defines a web page. Ask yourself a few questions when coming up with a page title:

-Does this title have or is relative to my target keyword of the page?

-Is the page title too generic?

-Are people interested (searching) for this subject?

If you have a website you should make a list of all of your web page's titles and then the associated targeted keyword/keyword phrase.

Do they match up?

Ok. Ok. This is an important step. The URL can be a brand statement of your company, products, website and web page. If you having a marketing degree, understand marketing or just know how important branding is you know what I am saying.

Think about the following:

-When you type in a URL does it not have something to do with the company/website you are trying to look at.

-Think how bad it would be if Amazon.com
decided that our domain name isn't important. Let's just say our website is http://thebestcompanyever.com

-How would you associate (thebestcompanyever) with Amazon? Mostly likely you would not. And that is why that domain names are so so so very important.

You have a domain name. You have a page title. Now... What are you going to write about?? Those spiders and web bots want to read relevant content.

-Does your content match up with your page title? URL? Header? Links you have in the content?

The reason that users visit your website is because they are looking for information. If they don't find it then they leave and your BOUNCE RATE will increase. Not something you are looking for.

How about those loyal users? They enjoy your website and want it updated. They will mostly likely stop coming back after awhile if the content is not updated and relevant to the website.
