Seo Tips

Here are some basic seo tips for you to follow

  • Title Tag
    - Include keywords in them
    - Your main keywords in the beginning
    - Keep it to 65-70 characters
    - Don't Use Junk words Like Welcome. They are just a waste of space
  • Meta Description Tag
    -Write unique meta description tags for each page
    -Keep them to about 165 characters
    -Make them enticing.
    -Write them for humans not search engines
  • Use Seo Friendly Links
    -include keywords in them
    -separate the words with a hyphen
  • Heading Tags
    -maintain a proper structure
    -don't skip tags i.e. dont go from h1 to h3 without an h2 in the middle.
    -include keywords in the heading tags

Web Design Tips

Here are some simple pointers about web design

  • Fast Loading Pages
    -the design should be web optimized
    -maximum 15 second loading time
    -use server side includes when possible
    -dont use too many images
    -optimize all images used
    -try to avoid flash
  • Clear Navigation
    -make sure navigation is easily seen
    -differentiate it from the content
    -include some important links in the footer
    -navigation should be easy to understand (i.e. - dont use unfamiliar icons without text beside them)
  • Browser Compatibility
    -the site should be compatible with all major browsers
  • Keep your layouts clean. Make use of white space and try to avoid clutter.
  • Keep the screen resolutions in mind when designing sites. I tend to design sites for 1024x768, but depending on the target audience, you might need to design for another resolution
