- Your Serbian Tomato Salad is just plain healthy good and would be wonderful with just some fresh bread. I like how you let the salad change by what is available. Those recipes passed down by "Mom" are sure to please!

- Thanks for stopping by. I'd better not mention the feta to my husband or he will add more calories than he needs. This was his mother's recipe. I have also substituted white or red onion on occasion --whatever I have on hand. Otherwise I try not to mess too much with "the way my (his)mother made it"

- Great recipe...only you forgot (at least in my book) the MOST IMPORTANT ingredient: FETA CHEESE! Also, many Serbs will substitute white onion in place of the green onion, but that's all based on taste and/or what's available. Otherwise, just add a side of bread and you're good to go.

- I know what you mean there about one's schedule being unpredictable. That's the one thing that made me wiser in the kitchen. I learned how to put simple ingredients together, cook them real quick, make them good enough for people to eat.

- Hmmm, sounds good. Fresh garden tomatoes are so good. I did not have many this year.

- Your salad is so easy to make, and I am sure is very good, it is also close with some salad my mother use to make.
Thanks
